Dowling Check-Raises

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Chris Dowling was the preflop raiser from under the gun and found a caller in Joep van den Bijgaart from the hijack. On the {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs} turn, Dowling bet 31,000 and van den Bijgaart called before the Irish check-raised all in. Van den Bijgaart had bet 68,000 and then faced the shove for 188,000 to eventually fold after time was called on him.

Hansen Doubles Through Peters

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Johnny Hansen was the preflop raiser and Makarios Avramidis called, Tobias Peters defended his big blind. On the flop {8-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}, Peters check-raised to 102,000 and Hansen moved all in after the obligatory continuation bet. It was an all in for 271,000 and Peters called with the flush draw.

Peters: {A-Spades}{4-Spades}
Hansen: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Both the {J-Clubs} turn and {10-Clubs} river failed to help Peters and even gave Hansen a full house.

Nevanlinna Doubles Through Zisimopoulos

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Jussi Nevanlinna, who finished second in this very tournament in 2011 and fifth last year, has taken a big step towards another final table appearance in Amsterdam.

Georgios Zisimopoulos raised to 21,000 from under the gun and the Finn three-bet to 66,000 from the hijack. Zisimopoulos asked for his stack size and then jammed to put Nevanlinna at risk. The Finn called for 326,000 and had his opponent dominated.

Nevanlinna: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Zisimopoulos: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and the pair of jacks scooped a big pot, putting a big dent into the stack of the Greek.

Paris and Kramer Even in Chips

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Bryan Paris raised to 22,000 and [Removed:172] three-bet to 50,000 before the American moved all in for 221,000. Kramer called and had the worse kicker.

Kramer: {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Paris: {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

There was no help on the board {3-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and that evened out the stacks of the two players.

Kees van Betting

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Another big pot emerged over on the feature table and Kees van Brugge fired 189,000 on the river of a {2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} board. The Dutchman only had 81,000 behind and Timothy Adams had pretty much as many chips as the final bet of his opponent. Adams eventually folded and fell below 20 big blinds.

Przemyslaw Piotrowski Eliminated in 19th Place (€10,371)

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Przemyslaw Piotrowski
Przemyslaw Piotrowski

Przemyslaw Piotrowski had previously tripled up for his last big blind and then called all in out of the big blind for what looked like 35,000. [Removed:172] had raised to 21,000 and Donald Rae three-bet to 50,000 from the button. Kramer folded and they flipped over the cards:

Piotrowski: {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Rae: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The Pole picked up a gutshot on the flop {8-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, but both the {3-Hearts} turn and {5-Spades} river blanked to send him to the rail in 19th place.

Tjauw Foe Gives Brummelhuis a Lesson

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Michiel Brummelhuis raised to 23,000 from the button and Clyde Tjauw Foe three-bet to 63,000 from one seat over, getting called by Brummelhuis. On the {7-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop, Tjauw Foe continued for 50,000 and called a raise to 113,000 by Brummelhuis before both players checked the {4-Diamonds} turn.

The dealer burned and turned the {9-Hearts} as final community card and Tjauw Foe moved all in. Brummelhuis tanked for a long time and eventually folded to get shown {A-Spades}{5-Spades} for a bluff!!!

Dowling Doubles Through Piotrowski

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Chris Dowling moved all in for 128,000 from early position and the action folded to Przemyslaw Piotrowski on the button, who asked for a count. He then moved all in for slightly more and the players in the blinds folded.

Dowling: {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Piotrowski: {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The {4-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{J-Hearts} flop gave the Irish the lead and he made two pair with the {K-Hearts} turn. Only the four tens and hearts would change the outcome of the hand, yet it was the {3-Diamonds} river that left Piotrowski very short.
