Foeke Deinum was off to a good start yesterday but saw his stack dwindle the rest of the day. Today has been good so far, though, as he's up to over 120,000 after a big pot just now.
After a 3,500 open and a call from the cutoff, Deinum squeezed to 12,700 from the button. Both blinds and initial raiser folded, the cutoff called.
The cutoff check-called a bet of 12,200 on ![]()
![]()
before they both checked the
on the turn. The
hit the river and the cutoff checked again. Deinum moved all in and, after some time in the tank, the cutoff folded. We couldn't see for how much the shove was or how much the cutoff had behind at the time, but the effective bet was big - so much was clear.

Shander de Vries was missing from the table he started at, so we asked former table mate Jasper Wetemans if he knew what had happened.
Playing in the first level, the player in seat 1 had opened for 2,000. De Vries, sitting next to him, three-bet to 5,500 and the action folded to the big blind. The big blind cold four-bet to 10,000 and the initial raiser folded. De Vries called.
The flop came ![]()
![]()
with two diamonds and the big blind bet 10,000. De Vries shoved all in and the big blind called with ![]()
for the flush draw. De Vries had ![]()
for the lower flush draw. The
on the turn just about sealed the deal, the
on the river was a blank.
Wetemans himself is up for the day, he plays just over 100,000.

Van Brugge went into the tank, and said "I let you get there huh?"
"I have a really strong hand," Van Brugge said, "but I can't beat a flush."
"I don't have a flush" answered his neighbor.
Van Brugge thought about it some more before he folded.

Alberto Stegeman has been eliminated from the tournament. He was seen standing close to the bar, awaiting the €1,000 freeze out that starts in a couple of minutes. He told us what had happened.
He lost half his stack early on in a battle of the blinds where his aces were cracked by the big blind's ![]()
who flopped a full house.
He shoved the remainder of his stack, about 20 big blinds, with pocket tens. It ended up a three-way all in versus aces and kings and Stegeman failed to spike a ten to stay alive. Exit for Stegeman.
