Boeken Suffering

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Noah Boeken, who won this event back in 2013 for €306,821 and won the €10,000 High Roller last year for €217,069, doesn't have the greatest of starts. He's down to just half of what he started with: 15,000.

Just now, we saw him check-call a river bet of 3,000 on {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts}. His opponent showed {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and Boeken only nodded, showing his foe ace-jack was good.

Lars Bonding opened to 300 under the gun and Pim Kuipers called from middle position. Next to act, Rens Feenstra squeezed to 1,400 from the hijack. The player on the button called, the blinds, Bonding and Kuipers all folded.

Feenstra, who finished runner-up to Jack Salter in the €1,500 last night, checked on {5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. His opponent bet 1,600 and Feenstra called.

On the {5-Clubs} turn, Feenstra check-called a bet of 2,600. Another low card completed the board, and Feenstra checked as soon as he saw the {2-Diamonds} appear. The button causally bet 6,700 and Feenstra let it go.

Quads for Bijen

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Dennis Bijen was seen checking from first position on a board of {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds}. His opponent, Kees Alblas in middle position, bet 2,175 and Bijen called.

The river came the {4-Hearts} and Bijen checked. Alblas checked behind and Bijen instantly admitted he had a really good hand, showing {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}.

"You have some guts there," Alblas said in Dutch.

"Yeah, those were some really tough calls," Bijen replied with a big smile and laugh.
