More Stars in the Field

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Former MCOP champion David Boyaciyan has just taken his seat. At the same table, Rembert Net has taken his seat. One table over Clyde Tjauw Foe, who finished 4th in 2014 for €83,786 ($103,921) just sat down.

Maybe the biggest star of them all, is sitting at Table 26. EPT, WSOP, and Triton High Roller champion John Juanda just entered the event. Juanda, number 7 on poker's All Time Money List, is sitting at the same table as Ad Schaap.

Walthaus Versus Van den Berg

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

As we arrived, the flop was already out in a hand between Jorn Walthaus (under the gun) and Thierry van den Berg (middle position). On {7-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, Walthaus bet 900. Van den Berg was quick to call.

The {6-Hearts} hit the turn and Walthaus didn't hold back, betting 1,900. Van den Berg tossed in two 1,000-chips to call soon after.

With the {9-Hearts} completing the board, Walthaus checked. Van den Berg bet 2,000 and Walthaus took another look at his cards. With a pained face, he eventually called.

Van den Berg showed {3-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the turned flush but soon would get the bad news as Walthaus tabled {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for the rivered higher flush.

Small Win for Moreira de Melo

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

A player in middle position opened for 500 and the button called, as did Fatima Moreira de Melo in the small blind. Action checked to the button on {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and he bet 800. Moreira de Melo called, the initial raiser folded.

Both players checked the {4-Spades} on the turn and {9-Clubs} on the river and Moreira de Melo showed her {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}. That proved a winner as the button showed his {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} just before he mucked them.

Both players checked the {7-Spades} on the turn and the {5-Clubs} completed the board. Feenstra bet 4,000 and Tounnouti called.

Kaverman Wins Without Showdown

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante
Byron Kaverman
Byron Kaverman

Byron Kaverman opened the cutoff for 450 and the player in the big blind called. Both of the active players checked on {2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and the {J-Hearts} hit the turn. The big blind lead for 525 and Kaverman called.

As the {Q-Diamonds} completed the board, the big blind rapidly bet 1,250. Kaverman contemplated what to do for a minute or so before he slid 1,250 forward to call.

The big blind mucked and Kaverman followed his example. No showdown, but the pot went to Kaverman.
