Denisov Picks Off Chobineh

Level 2 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Aleksander Denisov bet 1,100 from under the gun on a flop of {q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and was called by Bahram Chobineh on the button.

The turn came the {8-Hearts} and Denisov bet another 2,500. Chobineh again called as the river came the {q-Spades}.

Denisov this time slowed down and checked as Chobineh threw out 4,500. Denisov quickly called and Chobineh turned over {k-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for two pair, queens and threes.

Denisov, though, showed {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for queens and nines to take the pot as players prepared to head off on break.

Chobineh Sends Gulevich Into the Tank

Level 2 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

With action on the river and a board reading {6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. Bahram Chobineh bet 20,000 into a pot of 26,000 from the big blind,

Ilia Gulevich was on the button. He thought for quite a while before he said "why so much?" and continued to study his opponent.

Eventually Gulebich found the fold button and sent the pot across the table.

Margolin Pays Off Haddad

Level 2 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Joseph Haddad and Timur Margolin, who made the final table of the MPP Open earlier, built a pot of around 25,000 with the board showing {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

Haddad, in the hijack, bet 10,200 as Margolin tanked for several minutes. He eventually called as Haddad turned over {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.

"Flush," Margolin asked before tapping the table and surrendering the pot.

Gola Wins a Flip to Bust Tamasian

Level 2 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Garik Tamasian raised to 2,500 from the hijack and was called by the cutoff. In the small blind, Joel Gola shoved all in for 61,000 and Tamasian quickly called, while the cutoff tanked for a moment before folding.

"Ace-king," Tamasian asked Gola, who showed {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. Tamasian turned over {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}.

The {5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop gave Gola a flush draw, and he completed it on the {3-Clubs} turn as Tamasian was looking to hit a full house on the river. He missed the {2-Hearts} as the stacks were counted down. Gola had him slightly covered and Tamasian made his exit.

Flush Over Flush For Losev

Level 2 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Right after winning a big hand, Baris Topuz was involved in another one as the pot was bloated to about 50,000 on the river with a board reading {9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

Alexey Losev bet 63,000 from middle position while Topuz was on the button and called after a few moments.

Losev tabled the {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for the flush which was higher than the {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flush that Topuz showed.

Topuz Wins Big With Flopped Flush

Level 2 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Bauyrzhan Shaukenov was in the big blind and reraised to 4,500 before the flop. Baris Topuz called in the small blind and they saw a flop of {6-Spades}{a-Spades}{8-Spades}.

Topuz checked to Shaukenov who bet 4,400. Topuz called and the {7-Hearts} fell on the turn. He checked again and Shaukenov bet another 11,500.

Topuz tanked for a few minutes as he took a peek at the tournament clock before throwing in a green 25,000 chip to raise. The floor was called over and it was ruled that, since he didn't announce a raise, it would stand only as a call of Shaukenov's original bet.

The river came the {2-Hearts} and Topuz bet 30,500. Now it was Shaukenov who tanked for a few minutes before calling as Topuz turned over {k-Spades}{j-Spades} for the flopped flush to take the big pot.

Level 2 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Timur Tokhtabayev
Timur Tokhtabayev

Timur Tokhtabayev has reentered after busting in Level 1 and is enjoying no better luck on his second bullet.

In his last hand, he raised to 4,500 from the big blind and was called by Alexandr Dusco in early position, Luca Stenavato in the hijack, and Scott Wellenbach from the cutoff.

The flop came {2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and Tokhtabayev continued for 15,000. Only Stenavato called to see the {6-Spades} on the turn.

Tokhtabayev bet another 30,000 and Stenavato called. The river came the {10-Diamonds} and Tokhtabayev shoved all in.

Stenavato snap-called with {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} for top pair and Tokhtabayev could only show {10-Spades}{9-Spades} as he handed over a big chuck of his stack.

Higgins Doubles Through Flip

Level 2 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Simon Higgins moved all in for 46,000 preflop and was snap-called by Abdullah Alajmi. Higgins was a bit concerned with the speed of the call as he tabled the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} but it was a flip scenario as Alajmi had the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}.

The board ran out {8-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} to secure the double for Higgins.

"Did you misclick" enquired Higgins toward Alajmi following the hand. "I thought I was dead with how quickly you called".
