Zhechev Assembling Big Stack

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With 20,000 in the middle at the turn with the board reading {q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, the middle position player bet 8,700 and was called by Ivan Zhechev on the button.

The {8-Diamonds} completed the board and brought in the backdoor flush as well as completing some straight draws. The middle position player checked as did Zhechev. Middle position player announced king-high while Zhechev turned over {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} which was good enough to be awarded the pot.

After an under-the-gun raise from Alex Peffly, Georges Sultanem moved all in for around 20,000 from middle position. Actioned folded back to the Brit and he made the call.

Georges Sultanem: {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Alex Peffly: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The run out was {9-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} to give the Lebanese player a double up. ''Best hand I've had in hours!'', exclaimed Sultanem. Peffly took the small beat well, he still sits with a healthy stack.

Saad Limp-Shove Gets Through

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The under-the-gun player limped, as did Mark Saad in early position. The button bet 5,000 and was called by the under the gun player.

Saad elected to move all in for 40,000. The button folded quickly, but the under-the-gun player took a brief moment before folding. The Egyptian moved back above starting stack,

Straight Over Set Over Set For Vitkind, Huge Pot Alert

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Dmitry Vitkind (right)

With action three-ways on the turn on a board of {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, the hijack had bet 15,000 chips into a pot of around 18,000. The cutoff of Dmitry Vitkind then smooth called and when action was back on the early position player, he announced he was all in for 69,000, just about covering both players. The original turn better called all in for his last 45,000 total and Vitkind snapped off behind for his last 67,300 to put cards on their backs.

Hijack: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Dmitry Vitkind: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Early Position: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

It was a cooler of coolers on that board, with Vitkind ahead with the nut straight against top set and middle set, with just the board pairing to bust him, he dodged. The {8-Hearts} river completed the board giving him a huge pot, sending one player to the rail and leaving the early position player with just 2,000 chips or so.

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Niall Farrell

With party cannons setting off and a dance version of Happy Birthday blasting in the corridor of the Royal Diamond Hotel and Casino, Niall Farrell could be seen dancing in his seat as if he was in a super-club in Ibiza.

Meanwhile back to the action, Elftherios Sinnos bet 1,600 from under the gun and was called by the cutoff, Yiannakis Papapetrou on the button, the small blind and Farrell in the big blind was tempted in by the bloated pot.

Action was checked to the river where the completed board read {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{k-Clubs}. Sinnos bet 3,800 which gained a fold from the cutoff. Papapetrou made a quick call, prompting the small blind to fold and Farrell folded as well but showed the {k-Hearts} face up.

Sinnos tabled {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for a full house on the river which beat Papapetrou's {7-Spades}{6-Spades} for a ten-high straight and Sinnos, who final tabled the MPP Open took down the pot.
