Vedes Takes The Multi-Way Pot

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Action had been raised from early position to around 1,800. The button had called after the other players folded and it was on Tommy Vedes in the small blind. The New York native decided on a raise to 7,100 chips and both the original raiser and button called.

With a flop dealt, all players checked their options on the {j-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts} board.

The {q-Diamonds} turn woke Vedes up though, as he bet 9,500 chips. The other two players were done with the hand and let them go, giving Vedes the nice chip up.

Vozeyanov Increases Stack

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Artem Vozeyanov bet 1,600 from the hijack and was called by the cutoff and the button.

All three players checked the flop of {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs}. The {10-Spades} turn allowed Vozeyanov to bet 2,500 and was only called by the cutoff.

The board paired on the {10-Diamonds} river which prompted both players to check. Vozeyanov rolled over {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for top two pair and the cutoff tapped the felt and mucked their hand.

After an early position limp, Mark Saad made it 2,200 from the cutoff. Action folded to Maxim Lykov in the small blind, who called and after the big blind let their holding go, the preflop limper also called.

To a flop of {j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, the Saad continued for 2,600 chips. Lykov called and the early position player folded.

On a {7-Clubs} turn, Saad didn't slow down, betting again once Lykov checked to him on the four flush board. The Russian pro let his holding go and gave the Cypriot-Egyptian the win.

Anatoly Nikitin
Anatoly Nikitin

The under-the-gun player bet 1,500 and was called by Anatoly Nitkin in the big blind. The flop of {k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs} allowed the under-the-gun player to bet 2,700 and Nikitin made the call.

The {7-Clubs} came on the turn and under the gun continued for 7,700. Nikitin this time raised to 17,000. The under-the-gun player mulled it over before folding.

Whilst dragging in the pot Nikitin told the PokerNews reporter that it was the first hand they have won in over two hours. They will be hoping it will be a catalyst to a deep run.

Tulin Almost Doubles Up Without Showdown

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

With 38,000 in the middle on a flop of {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}, the small blind bet 13,000. Nikolai Tulin in the cutoff moved all in for 38,600.

The button assessed the situation and went through the previous action and elected to fold but kept hold of their cards. The small blind quickly folded. The button showed he folded {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and Tulin said "good fold" and revealed they had {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

Shafigullin Passes Six-Figures

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

On a completed board of {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{j-Spades}{k-Clubs} with 30,000 in the middle, Marat Shafigullin moved all in for 36,000 in early position.

The small blind took a minute before deciding to call. Shafigullin turned over {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for a full house. The small blind attempted to muck their cards, but the dealer turned them over to reveal {k-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for a missed flush draw that turned into trips.
