It is moving day at Event #7 The MPP Warm Up at the Luxon Pay Mediterranean Poker Party, where short-stacks can become heroes and chip-leaders can have their hopes crushed on Day 2 of this tournament held at the beautiful Merit Royal Diamond Hotel and Casino in North Cyprus.
A total of 177 players have locked up at least a min-cash and will be whittled down to nine players who will return on Tuesday, August 29th at midday to win the MPP Warm Up trophy.
Some of the world's top players have arrived in North Cyprus and are on the hunt for victory in the Warm-Up including Dzmitry Urbanovich (440,000), Chino Rheem (237,000), and Steve O'Dwyer (113,000).
Returning on Day 2 as chip leader is Ferenc Deak with a gargantuan stack of 1,152,000. The Hungarian Omaha specialist who had two final tables at the World Series of Poker secured the number one position after finishing top on Day 1c.
MongolianAmarbayasgalan Sainjargal is in second place with exactly 1,000,000. Sainjargal was top in chips in the turbo flight which concluded deep into the early hours of this morning. Not far behind is Pavel Plesuv from Moldova with 980,000 who was top of the rankings after Day 1b.
Cards will be in the air at midday local time with 40-minute levels with blinds starting at 3,000/6,000 with a 6,000 big blind ante with nine minutes left on the clock. After every three levels, there will be a 15-minute break. After the ninth level of the day, there will be a 60-minute dinner break. A 30-second shot clock will be introduced today with players given time bank cards if they require additional thinking time.
