Sibgatova Doesn't Want a Showdown
Level 3
: Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
The action folded around to Halil Tasyurek in the small blind and he limped in. Alisa Sibgatova was in the big blind and checked her option to the A♦J♠4♦ flop. Tasyurek bet 2,000 and Sibgatova called.
Both watched the 8♣ land on the turn and Tasyureky fired again, this time for 5,000. Sibgatova reached for raising chips and made it 15,500, and Tasyurek called.
When the 10♠ hit the river, Tasyurek checked and Sibgatova continued to tell a story that she had a strong hand with a bet of 26,500. Tasyurek thought for around 10 seconds and then threw in a chip to signify a call.
Sibgatova didn't want to reveal her cards at showdown so went ahead and mucked, which allowed Tasyurek to claim the pot without showing his cards.
