Level 31
: Blinds 1,000,000/2,000,000, 2,000,000 ante
Hassanin Hashim
When it folded to Hassanin Hashim in the hijack, he jammed for 16,400,000. Timothy Chung called from the small blind and the cards were revealed.
Hassanin Hashim: A♣Q♦
Timothy Chung: 8♠8♦
It was a flip that Hashim needed to win to keep his dreams alive. The flop of 9♦7♠6♠ didn't help Hashim, and neither did the 4♥ turn. The river was J♦, and Hashim had to settle for an eighth-place finish in the tournament.
Level 31
: Blinds 1,000,000/2,000,000, 2,000,000 ante
Garik Tamasian
Milad Oghabian Langar raised to 4,500,000 from the cutoff with just 6,000,000 behind. After it folded to Milad Oghabian Langar in the big blind, he jammed to put Tamasian all in. Tamasian snap-called.
Garik Tamasian: A♠A♥
Milad Oghabian Langar: K♠Q♦
Tamasian found aces at the perfect time, and only an unfortunate runout would end his Main Event. Fortunately for Tamasian's aces, the board came 4♦8♠7♥3♠6♦, and he earned the much-needed double-up.
Level 30
: Blinds 750,000/1,500,000, 1,500,000 ante
Italo Modena
When it folded to Italo Modena in the hijack, he jammed for 11,200,000. Timothy Chung called from the small blind and Modena was at risk of being the first elimination at the final table.
Italo Modena: K♠9♥
Timothy Chung: K♥Q♥
Modena was dominated by Chung's king-queen and looked likely to be headed to the cashier's desk very shortly.
The flop came down 5♣3♥J♠, which didn't change anything, and neither did the A♣ turn. The river was the K♣ and Modena was out in 9th.
Level 30
: Blinds 750,000/1,500,000, 1,500,000 ante
Andreas Mavromoustakis
Daniel Thaller min-raised A♦K♦ to 3,000,000 from early position and Andreas Mavromoustakis defended his big blind holding A♣Q♣.
The dealer burned a card and then spread out the Q♦Q♠6♦ flop. Mavromoustakis checked, and Thaller bet 1,500,000. Mavromoustakis check-raised to 5,000,000, which Thaller called,
The 4♣ appeared on the turn and Mavromoustakis slid out a bet of 7,400,000. Thaller called again.
The river was the K♥, and after a few moments, Mavromoustakis bet 12,000,000. Thaller used up a few of his time bank cards before deciding on a fold.
Level 29
: Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante
Daniel Thaller
Razvan Sabau made it 2,500,000 from middle position and only Daniel Thaller called from the hijack.
Sabau checked it over to Thaller on the A♣Q♣6♠ flop, and Thaller quickly checked behind.
The 7♥ on the turn got another check from Sabau, but Thaller decided to bet 4,100,000. Sabau looked back at his cards and then made the call.
Sabau checked for the last time when the 9♣ dropped on the river and Thaller checked behind. Sabau showed A♥J♠ for top pair with a jack-kicker, but lost the pot to Thaller's A♠K♠.
Level 29
: Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante
Hassanin Hashim
Hassanin Hashim shoved from under the gun for 10,900,000 and Italo Modena jammed over the top for around 30,000,000 from the next seat to put Hashim at risk.
Hassanin Hashim: J♥J♣
Italo Modena: A♠Q♠
Hashim had started this final table rough and needed to hold with his jacks to get back to winning ways. The board came 6♥9♣6♠K♦6♣, keeping Hashim's pair in the lead, and he doubled up.
Level 28
: Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Andreas Mavromoustakis
Hassanin Hashim opened from early position to 2,000,000, and only Andreas Mavromoustakis called from the hijack.
The dealer put out a flop of 8♦3♣3♠ and Hashim made a continuation-bet of 3,200,000. Mavromoustakis stuck around with a call.
The 9♠ turn checked through for the K♠ to roll off on the river. Hashim checked again, but Mavromoustakis bet 5,300,000. After using a time bank, Hashim called, and Mavromoustakis turned over A♣K♦ for a pair of kings. Hashim mucked 7♦7♣, and Mavromoustakis pulled in the pot.
