Lihacovs Sends Afsharorumieh Out

Level 2 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Afshin Afsharorumieh made it 7,000 to go from under the gun and got a call from the cutoff & Alesia Sinevich on the button. Romans Lihacovs was in the small blind and put in a big squeeze, then Afsharorumieh committed his stack of around 40,000. The remainder of the table folded, which left Afsharorumieh at risk.

Romans Lihacovs: AK

Afsharorumieh was ahead but not for long as the K102 flop gave Lihacovs top pair. A Q on the turn did bring around some more outs for Afsharorumieh as he picked up a straight draw, but the 7 river bricked out, sending him to the rail.

Logunov Leads Three-Way

Level 2 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Leonid Logunov in the big blind, Ekaterina Fedyaeva in early position, and the player on the button all tossed in 25,000 on the 926J turn. The 10 river then completed the board and saw Logunov make a bet of 82,000.

Fedyaeva flicked in calling chips, which the button saw as a signal to get out of the way. Logunov turned over 43 for the rivered flush, taking the pot when Fedyaeve slowly added her cards to the muck.

Yildiz's Straight Flush Sinks Karpova's Boat

Level 2 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Natalia Karpova
Natalia Karpova

There has already been one straight flush today and there was just another!

On a board of 10745 there were around 100,000 chips in the pot when both the blinds checked to Natalia Karpova in the cutoff, who fired 50,000. Mustafa Yildiz called on the button, and both the blinds folded.

The river brought a 4 and Karpova fired again, this time for 85,000. Yildiz pondered for some time before he moved all of his chips into the middle for a raise of 215,000. Karpova didn't like the situation she was in and leaned back in her chair while she thought it over, but eventually she made the call.

Yildiz then revealed a straight flush with 86, and Karpova showed 77 for a rivered full house.

Brutal!

Demirkol tabled A3 for the straight, seeing Gulas muck his cards after double-checking with the dealer. Samuel Ju was also spotted at this table, having recently bought in.

Sinevich Picks Off Afsharorumieh; Cotescu Wins a Small One

Level 1 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Afshin Afsharorumieh limped from under the gun and when it got to Alesia Sinevich on the button, she made it 8,000 to go. Afsharorumieh called to see a flop of 345, where both players checked.

A K dropped on the turn and Afsharorumieh check-called a bet of 10,000 and then decided to lead for 16,000 when the Q put a fourth diamond on board. Sinevich didn't need to think for too long before she called.

Afsharorumieh then mucked at showdown, meaning Sinevich claimed the pot without revealing her cards.

Elsewhere, Sandra Cotescu and Katherina Aristotelos just played out a small pot. There was an open from late position and Aristotelos three-bet from the small blind to 10,500. Cotescu cold-called from the big blind, and the initial raiser folded.

Both checked the 67Q flop to the 8 turn, where Aristotelos checked and Cotescu fired 13,000. That was enough to earn her the pot as Aristotelos folded.

Yuhang Chen

Jason Barton made a raise to 4,000 in the cutoff, being three-bet to 16,000 by Yuhang Chen on the button. The blinds got out of the way before Barton called to the 2Q6 flop.

Barton checked, Chen continued for 11,000, and Barton raised to 33,000. Chen put in the required chips for a call, and did so as well when Barton put in 55,000 on the 10 turn.

The 8 river slowed Barton down, as he checked over to Chen. Chen assembled a massive bet of 155,000, most of his stack. Barton did not need long before surrendering his cards and forfeiting the pot to his neighbor.

Kudzmanas Starts Well

Level 1 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

An early pot between Marius Kudzmanas and Javier Moya saw the former boost his stack in the opening minutes.

There were already around 40,000 chips in the pot on a K45 flop when Kudzmanas bet 14,000 from the small blind and Moya called.

An 8 on the turn saw Kudzmanas slow down with a check, then Moya fired out 48,000. Kudzmanas took some time before he called. A J hit the river and both players decided to knuckle to showdown.

Kudzmanas revealed QQ for a pair of queens, and that was good for the pot as Moya mucked.
