Dawid Smolka opened from early position to 400,000 and Ruslan Khadartsev defended from the big blind.

The flop came 8♦6♦7♠ and Khadartsev led out for 350,000. Smolka then raised to 1,100,000 and Khadartsev called.

A 9♦ hit the turn and Khadartsev led out again, this time for 3,000,000. Smolka had 3,400,000 behind and moved all of his chips in the middle, then Khadartsev called off the extra.

Aliaksandr Hirs shoved from the cutoff for 2,700,000 and when it got to Nenad Dukic in the big blind, he took some time before he called with a slightly covering in the big blind.

Dukic had made the right call but looked like he was going to get punished when the flop came Q♠8♣K♦. An 8♦ on the turn did put a pair on board and gave Dukic one shot at hitting one of the remaining aces in the deck.

That's exactly what he did when the A♥ peeled off on the river as Dukic improved to a better two pair, sending Hirs to the rail.

The action folded to Aren Bezhanyan in the small blind, who took a peek at Andrei Bidniuk's stack in the big blind and then shoved. Bidniuk slowly looked at each card and after peeking at the second, snap-called for 2,800,000.

Bidniuk had the easiest call of his tournament as he picked up the bullets and was a clean runout away from a double-up. However, things weren't easy as the 3♥5♣K♦ flop gave Bezhanyan top pair and some outs. None of those outs appeared on either the 6♦ turn or 8♥ river, meaning Bidniuk doubled up.

Marco Carravieri shoved from under the gun for 750,000 and Anthony Spinella called in the cutoff. Ruslan Khadartsev called on the button, and Dawid Smolka also came along from the big blind.

The flop came 3♣9♣4♦ and when it checked to Kharartsev, he bet 800,000. Smolka folded, as did Spinella, leaving Carravieri heads up for his tournament life.

Samantha Lake opened to 400,000 from the cutoff with J♦J♣ and Raoul Kanme peeled from the big blind holding 7♥6♦.

The flop came 6♥9♦J♠ where Kanme check-called a bet of 300,000 from Lake to the A♠ turn. Again Kanme checked, then Lake fired again for 800,000 with her set. That was enough to get the job done as Kanme laid down his pair.
