Babayev Applies Max Pressure on River
Level 7
: Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Nikolay Fal open-raised to 5,000 and Rahat Babayev three-bet to 15,000 from the next seat across, which only Fal called.
The flop ran out 10♥2♠6♠ and Fal checked. Babayev made it 9,000 to go and Fal called. On the 2♦ turn, Fal checked again and Babayev bet 11,000. Fal called again.
The river was the A♠ and Fal checked a third time, prompting Babayev to push all in, putting his shorter stacked opponent under pressure. Fal went into the tank before chucking his cards into the muck, giving Babayev the pot.
