Postle Escapes Court-Ordered Debt Following Poker Score...This Time

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Mike Postle
Mike Postle

Rumors that Mike Postle's recent poker tournament winnings were seized are inaccurate, lawyers for Veronica Brill confirmed to PokerNews. But those same attorneys will continue to keep the pressure on the accused poker cheater in hopes of one day collecting a $27,000 court-ordered debt.

Postle finished seventh for $32,703 in the $1,200 buy-in Million Dollar Heater series Main Event at Beau Rivage Casino, an MGM Resorts property. On his final hand, in which he held an over-pair, his opponent Brock Gary tanked for 30 seconds facing an all-in bet before calling with top set.

Although Postle resides in Northern California and is originally from Wisconsin, he has a lengthy history of playing poker in Mississippi, including at Beau Rivage.

Merheb Takes One

Level 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

As play has slowed considerably since the last break, there was a three-way hand on a flop of {3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. From under the gun. Andress Merhed bet 225,000. Evengii Katymaev called in the hijack while Akin Guven folded the big blind.

The turn was the {9-Diamonds}. Merheb bet again, this time for 675,000 and Guven gave it up this time.

Fedoseev Ramps Up the Aggression

Level 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Vladislav Fedoseev raised to 125,000 from middle position and was called by Recep Aydemir on the button.

"Don't bluff me," Aydemir said heading to the {4-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop. Fedoseev continued for 110,000 and Aydemir called.

The turn came the {k-Spades} and Fedoseev bet another 280,000. Aydemir open-folded two deuces and Fedoseev turned over {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}, showing that he had, in fact, bluffed Aydemir.

The next hand, Fedoseev and Valentin Tsoy saw a flop of {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Fedoseev check-called a bet of 130,000, then checked again on the {7-Spades} turn.

Tsoy bet another 245,000 and this time Fedoseev came back with a raise to 650,000. Tsoy tanked for a moment before throwing his hand away.

Andress Merheb raised to 125,000 from the hijack and John Doe called in the cutoff. Andre Mehreb then moved all in for 370,000 from the small blind and both opponents called.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{q-Hearts} and Merheb checked. Doe went to put chips in the pot but Merheb snap-folded. Doe then turned over {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for top pair, while Mehreb had {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Doe finished with two pair to bust Mehreb in 23rd and climb to around 7,000,000.

The flop came down {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}, the turn was the {9-Diamonds} and the river the {7-Spades} to give the double to Mandara.

Aydemir Calls His Own Double Up

Level 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Recep Aydemir

David Hu raised to 120,000 from early position and was called by Ryan Mandara on the button.

"Wait, don't go anywhere," Recep Aydemir told tournament officials standing by the table as he called from the big blind.

The flop came {j-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and action checked to Mandara, who bet 210,000. Aydemir asked the dealer for the all-in triangle and placed it in front of him as Hu got out of the way. Mandara, though, called the bet for around 880,000.

Aydemir showed {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for two pair, while Mandara was on a flush draw with {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. The {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades} turn and river missed Mandara and Aydemir doubled up.

"Now you can go," Aydemir said following the hand.
