Daniyar Aubakirov had last 160,000 chips in the middle and was put at risk by Nikolay Fal.
Daniyar Aubakirov: A♠10♦
Nikolay Fal: 7♦7♠
Both players were short-stacked but it was Aubakirov who needed to win the flip to remain alive. Aubakirov got off to a good start on the K♣Q♣A♣ flop as he paired his ace, and he held on as neither the 2♦ turn nor 4♣ river could improve Fal.

Simone Andrian on the button and Ali Al-Kubasi in the big blind had seen a flop of 7♠2♣10♦ with around 120,000 chips in the middle whe Al-Kubasi check-called a bet of 55,000 from Andrian.
They both saw the 3♠ drop on the turn and Al-Kubasi checked again, then Andrian fired a big bet of 220,000. Al-Kubasi thought for a moment but announced a fold then slid his cards into the table.
That pot leaves Andrian with around 1,200,000 in his stack - good for 60 big blinds.

Yiannakis Papapetrou shoved from the small blind and Safi Haidar, who started the hand with a bit under 100,000, made the call for his tournament life from the big blind.
Safi Haidar: Q♣J♠
Yiannakis Papapetrou: 9♠3♠
Neither player connected with the 7♦4♠8♦7♥8♠ runout. Haidar was good at showdown with queen-high and he doubled up.

With around 125,000 chips in the middle on a flop of 3♦10♥9♣, Dimitrios Barmpathanasis had checked and Mikhail Zavoloka shoved his last 45,000. Ibrahim Cetiner called then Barmpathanasis made it 180,000. Cetiner quickly folded.
Mikhail Zavoloka: 9♥3♥
Dimitrios Barmpathanasis: J♠J♣
Zavoloka had flopped two pair but was reduced to just a few outs after the 10♦ turn gave Barmpathanasis a better two pair. No help arrived on the 7♥ river, and Zavoloka was out the door.

Shai Zurr opened to 40,000 from middle position, Ali Al-Kubasi three-bet shoved for 615,000 from the hijack and Evagoras Evagorou four-bet shoved for around 1,400,000 from the cutoff, folding out all other players and leaving Al-Kubasi at risk.
Ali Al-Kubasi: A♣K♦
Evagoras Evagorou: A♦10♦
Al-Kubasi was in a great spot to double with a bigger ace but the 6♣2♥7♣10♠8♠ runout gave Evagorou a pair of tens to send Al-Kubasi to the rail and take the pot.

Safi Haidar opened the button to 45,000 and Nichan Khorchidian three-bet the small blind to 140,000. Haidar then shoved for around 440,000, and Khorchidian had a decision.
Some moments of contemplation went by and Khorchidian elected to fold, showing the A♣ as he did so. Haidar revealed K♣K♥ as he raked in the pot.
Despite that small setback, Khorchidian still has almost 3,000,000 chips to work with and is certainly still the chip leader with around 60 players remaining.

A pot of around 400,000 had brewed between Dauren Zhaparov and Felipe Ketzer on a board of Q♦8♥K♥4♠Q♥ when Ketzer checked on the river, and Zhaparov bet 225,000.
"Sorry, sorry," said Ketzer to the table as he was taking his time. Eventually, the Brazilian player folded, and Zhaparov was pushed the pot.
"Either you got lucky, or I got lucky. I had a very strong hand on the turn," added Ketzer after the hand.
