Adomavicius Turns a Miracle to Survive

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Eimantas Adomavicius
Eimantas Adomavicius

Grzegorz Kozieja raised to 120,000 from early position, and Eimantas Adomavicius shoved for 1,315,000 from the big blind. Kozieja got a count from the dealer, then made the call to put Adomavicius at risk.

Eimantas Adomavicius: 44 All in
Grzegorz Kozieja: AQ

It was a classic flip that Adomavicius needed to win to stay alive. The flop came 9Q10, giving Kozieja top pair and leaving Adomavicius with just two outs. But the 4 landed on the turn to give Adomavicius a set and leave Kozieja drawing dead. The 2 river was irrelevant, and Adomavicius doubled up taking roughly half of Kozieja’s stack.

Estrada Gains Momentum After Flip With Geilich

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Soraya Estrada
Soraya Estrada

Soraya Estrada just won a big flip against the start-of-day chip lead, Ludovic Geilich.

Geilich raised from the button to 125,000 and Nichan Khorchidian called in the small blind before Estrada made it 600,000 out of the big blind. Geilich then took some time before he four-bet to 1,585,000, which got Khorchidian out of the way. Estrada had 2,040,000 total and stuck all of her stack into the middle, and Geilich called off the rest.

Soraya Estrada: AQ All in
Ludovic Geilich: 55

Geilich was a flip away from being a huge chip leader but would need to find a two-outer after the JKQ flop paired Estrada's queen. A 2 on the turn removed the backdoor chop opportunities, and the 8 river meant Estrada leapt up the counts to around 4,300,000.

Nichan Khorchidian raised to 120,000 from the hijack, with Soraya Estrada calling on the button before Han Han squeezed all in for 1,075,000 from the big blind. Khorchidian got out of the way, but Estrada made the call to put Han at risk.

Soraya Estrada: 99

It was a classic flip for Han’s tournament life. The board ran out 1063QK, giving Han a straight on the river to win the pot and double through Estrada.

Tuna Tanks, Calls, and Drags Down a Monster

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Akin Tuna
Akin Tuna

Maher Achour opened to 125,000 from under the gun and Fahredin Mustafov called from the next seat before Andrei Konopelko three-bet to 425,000 from middle position. Akin Tuna then cold-called on the button, and both Achour & Mustafov called.

Despite the heavy preflop action, no bets went in on the A59 flop or the 7 turn. The A paired the board on the river and when it got to Konopelko, he fired 800,000. Tuna went into the tank for quite some time before he tossed in a call, and Achour quickly folded.

"I think he can bluff," said Mustafov in regard to Konopelko. "This is sick," he added. After thinking some more, Mustafov folded.

Konopelko then looked at Mustafov as if you say 'you were right' and showed KJ for a bluff. Tuna then slammed over QQ for a pair of queens to take the pot.

"What did you have?" Tuna asked Mustafov. "Pocket tens," he replied as he flashed 1010 to the table.

Isaia Flops the Nuts to Crack Foldesi's Cowboys

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Alessio Isaia
Alessio Isaia

Alessio Isaia opened to 120,000 from middle position before Daniel Foldesi three-bet to 325,000 from the big blind. Isaia stuck around with a call.

Foldesi continued for 200,000 on the 8104 flop, and Isaia called to see the 2 hit the turn. Foldesi then shoved for Isaia’s remaining 745,000, and Isaia snap-called.

Alessio Isaia: 1010 All in
Daniel Foldesi: KK

Isaia had flopped top set for the current nuts, and could only be beaten by a king on the river. The 6 rolled off instead, and Isaia secured the double-up, leaving Foldesi with crumbs.

Leonid Orman: A4 All in

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
