Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Maher Achour
Maher Achour

Maher Achour raised to 100,000 from under the gun, and Matas Cimbolas three-bet to 250,000 from middle position. Gurcan Gungoren cold-called from the big blind, and Achour came along to make it three ways to the flop.

The dealer spread A85, and action checked to Cimbolas, who bet 100,000. Both Gungoren and Achour called.

The Q hit the turn, and all three players checked. The 6 completed the board, and once again, the action checked around.

Gungoren showed 22 for a pair of deuces. Achour tabled A4 for top pair, which was good enough to take the pot as Cimbolas mucked.

Simon Five-Bet Shoves into Khorchidian's Big Slick

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Nichan Khorchidian
Nichan Khorchidian

Nichan Khorchidian raised to 80,000 from early position, and [Removed:553] three-bet to 220,000 from the small blind. Khorchidian four-bet to 750,000, and Simon then five-bet shoved for 2,420,000, sending Khorchidian into the tank.

After thinking it through, Khorchidian said, "I think we have the same hand," and eventually called, covering Simon slightly.

[Removed:553]: A10 All in
Nichan Khorchidian: AK

Khorchidian was wrong in his assessment as he actually had Simon dominated, needing to hold with Big Slick to score a huge knockout and claim the chip lead. The flop fell QJ4, giving both players a Broadway straight draw, but Simon found no help as the 2 turn and 8 river sealed his fate.

Khorchidian took down the pot, eliminating Simon. At another table Zhen Chen was seen exiting the tournament and has been eliminated.
