The inaugural $10,400 Merit Millions event at the 2025 Merit Poker Classic Millions wrapped up last April, with Boris Kolev rising above a talented field of 212 entries to become the first-ever Merit Millions champion. Held inside the stunning Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa, the unique event ended with Kolev capturing the coveted title and the massive $1,000,000 guaranteed top prize.
Kolev, who began the final table third in chips, put on a clinical display to systematically dismantle his opponents on the way to victory. In doing so, he became the first player in Merit Poker history to walk away with a seven-figure payday. The Bulgarian pro made quick work of Mehdi Chaoui in a brief heads-up battle to seal the title and etch his name in the record books.

Davor Mudric is running very hot right now.
With around 25,000 in the middle on a J♠3♦2♥3♣ board, Mudric checked from the small blind and Milos Miskovic bet 10,000 on the button. Mudric called.
A 10♥ fell on the river and after Mudric checked again, Miskovic shoved around 33,000. Mudric snap-called.
Miskovic then flipped A♥J♦ for top pair, but that was no good as Mudric had rivered a full house holding 10♦10♣ to secure the knockout.
However, it's not all bad news for Miskovic fans, as he immediately jumped back in to try and find a bag for Day 2.

With around 30,000 in the middle on a Q♣2♠J♦ flop, Mihail Ketlerov checked from middle position and Srdan Milicevic fired 10,000 in the cutoff. Ketlerov called.
An A♦ hit the turn and after Ketlerov checked it over, then Milicevic bet 20,000, leaving around 36,000 behind. Ketlerov took some time before he asked for it all with a shove, and Milicevic took around twenty seconds before he called to put himself at risk.
Srdan Milicevic: A♠3♦
Mihail Ketlerov: Q♦8♦
Milicevic had figured it out, but needed the dealer to deliver a clean river for him to double up. That's exactly what happened as the 4♠ completed the board, earning Milicevic a stack of around 170,000.

High hand alert!
With around 30,000 in the middle on a 9♦J♦K♦9♥ board, Vladimir Lappo bet 28,000 from the big blind and Davor Mudric called from the button.
They both saw the 4♠ river and after some deliberation, Lappo checked. Mudric then quickly bet 50,000, and after some more time in the tank, Lappo let it go.
Mudric then revealed Q♦10♦ to the table for a flopped straight flush. Not just any straight flush, the second-highest one!
"It's a good hand," said Mudric with a smile as he looked at PokerNews.
"I had a flush," Lappo added, showing that he made a fantastic laydown.

Jean-Baptiste Pano opened from the hijack to 4,000 and Lennart Beumelburg called from the button. The small blind also called.
On the Q♦2♣7♣ flop, it checked to Pano, who continued for 2,500. Beumelburg called and the small blind folded.
When the 6♠ fell on the turn, a bet of 14,000 did the trick for Pano as Beumelburg let his hand go.
Jon Kyte is on the same table and has around 220,000 in front of him, as is Merit Poker Cup final tablist Oleksii Shchukin, who has around 250,000.
