Sammer Raises the Flop in Five-Way Limped Pot

Level 3 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Four players, including Alexandru Cinca under the gun and Harald Sammer in middle position, limped in before the flop. "Alright," Samuel Kabelitz said as he got to see a free flop from the big blind.

"Like the good 'ole days. Five players to a flop," Cinca said as the dealer turned over {2-Clubs}{3-Spades}{9-Clubs}. Kabelitz checked and Cinca bet 1,200 before Sammer raised to 3,500. The rest of the table folded, but Cinca called to see the {2-Hearts} turn.

He checked this time and Sammer came out with another bet of 8,000. Cinca quickly folded.

Smuskevicius Gets Unlucky on the Turn, Survives With a Chop on the River

Level 3 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Boris Smuskevicius bet 4,700 from the cutoff on a flop of {5-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs} before Israel Zilberman raised in the small blind to 12,500. A player in the big blind gave it some thought before getting out of the way, while Smuskevicius responded by moving all in for around 70,000. Zilberman snap-called.

Boris Smuskevicius: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Israel Zilberman: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

Smuskevicius was well ahead with his top pair and nut flush draw, but the {4-Diamonds} on the turn improved Zilberman to a straight. The river came the {6-Spades}, giving both players the same straight as Smuskevicius stayed alive.

"I have one question. What did you have for breakfast," Zilberman asked Smuskevicius as the dealer chopped up the pot.

"You were always behind on the flop," Smuskevicius replied.

Rakhimov turned over {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} for a pair of aces, but Zilberman had him out-kicked holding {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}. Rakhimov was already standing up from his seat by the time the dealer turned over the {3-Hearts} river as he was sent to the rail.

Abdelhadi Picks Off Angelov Without a Showdown

Level 3 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With 18,500 in the pot on a flop of {9-Spades}{a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, Ahmad Abdelhadi bet 6,000 from the big blind and Boris Angelov called on the button.

The turn came the {j-Hearts} and Abdelhadi checked this time. Angelov fired out 15,000 and Abdelhadi quickly called to see the {9-Diamonds} river.

Abdelhadi again checked and Angelov came out with a bet of 45,000. Abdelhadi took his time before throwing in the chips to call as Angelov snap-mucked, allowing Abdelhadi to drag in the pot without a showdown.

"You play good. I didn't believe you," a tablemate said following the hand.

"That completely changes my view on things," another tablemate added.

"It happens sometimes," Angelov replied, still smiling despite taking the hit to his stack.
