Deuces Leap Gromov Into the Lead

Level 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Dmitry Gromov and Koray Korkmaz had already built a pot of around 800,000 heading to the river on a board of {7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Gromov, in the cutoff, bet 750,000 and Korkmaz, under the gun, asked for an exact count before he threw in a chip to call.

Gromov turned over {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for the flopped set that was good enough to win the massive pot as he's now approaching 6,000,000.

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Cenk Nigbolu raised to 160,000 and was called by Viktor Ustimov on the button and big blind Roman Gadzhiev.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Nigbolu continued for 125,000. Only Gadzhiev called to the {2-Spades} turn.

Nigbolu bet another 250,000 and Gadzhiev again called. The river came the {4-Spades} and both players checked.

Rabih Saad three-bet to 425,000 from the button, then called all in when Koray Korkmaz shoved in middle position.

Rabih Saad: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Koray Korkmaz: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

The {9-Diamonds} came in the window to give Saad hope, but it was followed by the {a-Hearts}{2-Spades} as Korkmaz made top set. Saad began filming the rest of the board as it ran out {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

The stacks were counted down and Saad had around 1,800,000. Korkmaz barely had him covered and sent the start-of-day chip leader to the rail in 25th place.

Kubanychbek Abakirov
Kubanychbek Abakirov

While the other outer table was already bagging their chips, Kubanychbek Abakirov bet 385,000 from the cutoff on a flop of {8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs} before Koray Korkmaz, in the hijack, shoved all in. Abakirov called for his last 2,300,000.

Kubanychbek Abakirov: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}
Koray Korkmaz: {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Abakirov had top pair, while Korkmaz was chasing a flush. The {4-Hearts} was safe for Abakirov, but the {5-Clubs} came on the river as Korkmaz gave a big fist pump after hitting his flush to send Abakirov out in 22nd just as the night was coming to an end.
