Runout Saves Abakirov From Massive Cooler Flop

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Heads-up on the {10-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop, Kubanychbek Abakirov bet 375,000 from early position and was called by Basel Khabbazeh in the cutoff.

The turn came the {j-Hearts} and both players checked. Abakirov again checked the {9-Hearts} river and Khabbazeh checked behind.

Abakirov turned over {k-Spades}{10-Spades} for two pair on the flop, but Khabbazeh had {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for a flopped set.

"Lucky," Khabbazeh told him following the hand as Abakirov wiped his forehead after getting away cheap from a pot that could've been much worse.

Another Setup Flop Ends in a Whimper

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Alexandru Cinca bet 100,000 from under the gun on a flop of {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} before Boris Angelov raised to 300,000 in the small blind.

Cinca took his time before calling as the {10-Diamonds} fell on the turn. Both players checked to the {2-Diamonds} river.

Angelov checked again and Cinca checked behind. Angelov turned over {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a flopped straight as Cinca flashed {k-}{k-} for top set on the flop.

Cinca gave himself a pat on the back after escaping from that cooler relatively unscathed. "I almost put it in," he said. "How do you flop a straight? Professional," he added.

Zhugralin Survives on the River

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Damir Zhugralin
Damir Zhugralin

Damir Zhugralin three-bet to 255,000 from the cutoff and was called by Michael Uguccioni in early position.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Zhugralin continued for 75,000. Uguccioni took his time before moving all in, and Zhugralin quickly called for his last 655,000.

Zhugralin had {a-Spades}{10-Hearts} for top pair, but Uguccioni flopped two pair with {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Zhugralin stood up from his seat as the {4-Diamonds} turn left him one card away from elimination, but he spiked the {a-Hearts} on the river to make trips and double up.

Cinca Bounced by Angelov

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Alexandru Cinca
Alexandru Cinca

Kubanychbek Abakirov raised to 100,000 in the cutoff and was called by Boris Angelov on the button as action folded to Alexandru Cinca in the big blind. He shoved all in and Abakirov quickly folded.

"How much," Angelov asked.

"One million," Cinca said emphatically as he slammed his stack down on the table. "A little more, 1.1." Angelov eventually called.

Alexandru Cinca: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Boris Angelov: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

"Good luck," Cinca added as he got up to watch the dealer turn over the board. He couldn't hit the {2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop, while the turn came the {k-Hearts}.

"Ah," Cinca said at the sight of a face card, but it wasn't the one he was looking for. The {2-Hearts} on the river sealed his elimination and Cinca wished the table luck before making his exit.

Danut Chisu
Danut Chisu

Three-handed on a flop of {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, Jack Rizk bet 425,000 on the button before Danut Chisu moved all in for 515,000 in the big blind.

Nicolas Chouity, in the cutoff, then reshoved to put Rizk all in. Rizk, with around 600,000 remaining, tanked for several minutes before he put in his last chips.

Chisu had {9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} for a pair of nines, Rizk showed {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for nines, ace-kicker, but Chouity had both players beat with {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}. The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Chouity sent both Chisu and Rizk to the rail.

Gungoren Puts in a Massive Shove

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Gurcan Gungoren and Nicolas Chouity built a pot of around 650,000 heading to the {7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop when Gungoren open-shoved for 2,500,000.

"Another one? I have a big draw," Chouity said as he tanked for several minutes.

"Why so much?" he asked Gungoren.

"Because your flush draw," Gungoren replied. Chouity eventually mucked and Gungoren showed him {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}.
