Gusetoiu Triples Up After Three-way All-in

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

A player opened to 6,000 off of a 11,000 stack and Gabriel Gusetoiu moved all in for 10,600. Daniel Burrow then moved all in for 33,000. The original raiser moved all in for around 10,000.

Gabriel Gusetoiu: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Daniel Burrow: {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
All-in Player: {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The flop {6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs} gave the shortest stack a straight draw and the {10-Clubs} improved him to a flush draw. The river was the {6-Spades} and Gusetoiu tripled up.

Moneymaker Eliminated from Day 1a

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Chris Moneymaker was spotted exiting the tournament area. He was kind enough to explain the key hands that resulted in his elimination.

Firstly after two limps, he raised from the small blind with {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. The big blind called as did the limpers. After a single opponent called Moneymaker's 8,000 bet on the {j-}{9-}{7-} flop, he continued for 15,000 on the {5-Clubs} turn.

His opponent shoved for 50,000 and Moneymaker called, only to be shown {6-}{8-} for a straight.

He was down to around six big blinds, and got them in over three limpers with {a-}{9-} only for the first limper to have {a-}{k-}

"I'll be back in 15 minutes," said Moneymaker, who will try his luck in the Day 1c flight which gets underway at 18:00.

A player shoved from the button and Jason Davis - already on a big stack - called in the small blind. The big blind folded and the cards were turned over.

All-in Player: {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Jason Davis: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and the player was eliminated, with Davis moving above 200,000 in chips.

Creanga Cracks Aces to Double

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

A player opened under the gun and got calls from Chris Moneymaker in middle position. Laurentiu Creanga called on the button as did the small blind.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and it checked to the pre-flop raiser who bet 10,000. Moneymaker folded and Creanga then shoved all in for 36,500. The small blind folded and the initial raiser called.

Laurentiu Creanga: {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

Creanga had flopped two pair and held on the {9-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} runout to double to over 80,000 in chips.

2019 Platinum Pass Winner Warris Eliminated

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Asif Warris
Asif Warris

Asif Warris won a Platinum Pass for the last PSPC, but won't be winning another one this time after being eliminated.

Under the gun limped and Jimmy Kebe raised to 5,000. Warris then jammed 26,000 with ace-king. The original raiser folded and Kebe called with pocket tens.

"You shouldn't race with me!" Kebe said after the hand to Warris, laughing with his opponent.

Warris has three more chances here at Moneymaker's Road to PSPC 2020 with the second flight getting underway in less than an hour.

Organised by Kerryjane Craigie, the Hippodrome's Head of Poker, and Kelly Saxby, a PokerStars Live at the Hippodrome sponsored player, the 'Ladies that poker at the Hippodrome' group formed back in 2015 with a clear goal in mind: get more women playing poker, regardless of their experience level.

“We meet most months and start off with a chat and catch up over a glass of fizz or a cocktail,” Craigie tells PokerStars Blog. “We discuss successes, near misses, specific hands and general poker gossip.”
