Moneymaker Joins the Field

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Chris Moneymaker
Chris Moneymaker

It used to be that Barry Greenstein was known as the 'Robin Hood of Poker' but considering Chris Moneymaker's recent exploits, they may have to rethink that moniker.

Moneymaker, whose name adorns this festival, has arrived midway through the third level of the day to jump into Moneymaker's Road to PSPC 2020.

"I woke up super early and went back to bed," said Moneymaker. "But now I'm well-rested and ready to play!"

This is the third of eight stops Moneymaker is making, four of which are in the UK & Ireland, dishing out a Platinum pass at events in not just London, but Newcastle, Milton Keynes and Dublin.

Big Bets, Small Bets - They All Count!

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Jimmy Kebe opened to 600 and got three callers from the button and both blinds.

The flop was {j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and it checked to Kebe who bet 1,300. The small blind was the only caller and he checked the {a-Hearts} turn over to Kebe.

He bet 200 and his opponent called. The river was the {q-Clubs} and it checked to Kebe once more. He bet 3,900 and his opponent called.

Kebe showed {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for two pair and his opponent mucked.

A recent string of good results, including an almost $100,000 score in Marrakech has put his live earnings at $366,000. Kebe will be looking to emulate the success here in the capital from March last year, when he finished second in the PokerStars Live London Series for £13,882.

Small Pot Gets Away from Sakallioglu

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

The player under the gun opened to 300 and Ali Sakallioglu called in the small blind. The big blind also called and they went three ways to a flop of {4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{8-Spades}.

It checked to the pre-flop aggressor who bet 300. Sakallioglu was the only caller. The turn was the {2-Clubs} and both players checked.

Sakallioglu bet 600 and his opponent promptly called. Sakallioglu showed {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for king-high and a missed flush draw, with his opponent winning the small pot with {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Colin Lovelock is a regular around Europe and the United States with over $400,000 in live earnings. His biggest cash to-date is a sixth place finish in EPT Monte Carlo €2,200 National High Roller for €30,800 back in 2017.

"I've only shown up to win the Pass," Lovelock told us as he entered the tournament area.

Can he lock up a Platinum Pass here in London?
