Litlle Man, No Stack

Mike Sica
Mike Sica
Mike "Little Man" Sica entered Day 2 dead last in chips with 4,300. He put up a valiant effort, but has been eliminated just before the end of the level.

He shoved on the button for 12,700 with {9-Hearts}{7-Spades} and ran into the player small blind's {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {K-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and his opponent made the better two pair to send Sica home.

D'Agostino's Kings Hold

Vinny Pahuja raised to 4,000 from middle position and then a player in the hijack seat moved all in for about 14,000. John D'Agostino reraised to 25,000 to isolate and then everyone folded, including Pahuja. The all-in player held {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and D'Agostino held two kings.

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Spades} and D'Agostino won the pot. He eliminated the player on the hand and bumped himself to about 180,000 chips.

Melikian Forces a Fold From Akenhead

James Akenhead raised to 3,900 in middle position and Ara "melikman" Melikian was the lone caller in the hijack.

The flop came down {3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{J-Spades} and Akenhead put out a continuation bet of 5,900. Melikian called and the turn brought the {K-Hearts}. Akenhead slowed down and checked. Melikian bet 9,500 and Akenhead made the call, checking when the {3-Spades} fell on the river. Melikian went all in and sent Akenhead into the tank for a good three minutes, before giving it up.

Akenhead drops to 295,000 while Melikian inceases his stack to 75,000.

Karr Loses Race

Marchese and Karr
Marchese and Karr
Everyone folded, leaving Tom Marchese and McClean Karr alone in the blinds. Marchese raised his small blind to 4,200, and Karr glanced at Tom's stack before moving all in. Marchese snap called, and it was a standard race. Marchese's {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} flopped an ace to take the lead against Karr's {2-Diamonds} {2-Spades}, and McClean never caught up. Marchese doubled to 73,000, and Karr took a hit to around 160,000.

Negreanu Smells a Rat

Jason Mercier limped in, the small blind completed, and Daniel Negreanu checked his option in the big blind to see a flop three ways. It came {7-Spades} {6-Clubs} {4-Hearts}. The small blind checked, and KidPoker bet 4,200. Mercier folded, and the small blind quickly moved all in. It was only another 6,200 for Negreanu to call. But he talked himself through the hand as usual and decided it wasn't worth a call.

"Why didn't you call?" whined his opponent, who said he had {8-?} {5-?} for the flopped nuts. "Anyone else at the table calls."

Jordan Morgan Feeling Good

It's tough to be certain who the chip leader is at the moment, but it very well could be Jordan Morgan. Morgan has about 330,000 after winning a recent small pot. He bet 9,000 on the river of a {Q-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {8-Spades} {2-Hearts} board. His opponent didn't immediately call, but eventually he shipped calling chips into the pot. Morgan's one pair of kings, {K-Spades} {10-Spades}, was the wining hand.

Josephy's Big Blind Special

JohnnyBax
JohnnyBax
In NAPT Mohegan Sun Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy made a $5,000 investment in what we would expect is one of his favorite horses -- himself. As we approach the halfway point of Day 2, it looks like a good investment so far. Josephy is near the top of the counts with approximately 275,000 after winning a three-way pot against Vincent Procopio and Matt Woodward.

We got to the table with 68,000 chips already up for grabs and the board showing {6-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {2-Hearts}. Josephy was in the big blind and made a bet of 45,000 into Procopio (UTG) and Woodward (late position). Procopio tanked for a minute, cutting 45,000 off of his stack and counting his remaining chips of approximately 52,000. In the end he folded.

That moved the action to Woodward, who had a total of 77,000 in his stack. He tanked for about as long as Procopio did before calling. Upon that call Josephy craned his neck to see how much more Woodward was playing.

The river paired the board {2-Spades}. Josephy banged out a check; Woodward did the same. "Jacks and sixes," Josephy called, turning up {J-Clubs} {6-Hearts}. It was good. Procopio looked ill.

"You have aces over there?" a player asked.
"He had 9-10 of diamonds," replied Josephy.
"Better than that," Procopio corrected.
"Better than that?" Josephy seemed skeptical.
Procopio nodded. "If I call, you lose,"

Procopio didn't call and so Josephy didn't lose. His 275,000 chips put him right near the leaders.

Three Streets of Value for Terry

Todd Terry from Day 1
Todd Terry from Day 1
From early position, Todd Terry raised to 4,000. Mclean Karr called from the small blind and then the big blind also came along.

The flop came down {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and action checked to Terry. He fired 8,000 and Karr called. The big blind folded.

The turn was the {A-Hearts} and Karr checked. Terry fired another bet, this time for 17,000. Karr made the call.

The river was the {5-Spades} and Karr checked again. Terry stayed on the gas with a bet of 40,000. Karr tanked, but eventually made the call. He then mucked when Terry rolled over the {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for top two pair. Karr claimed to also have aces up.

Karr dropped to 115,000 chips and Terry jumped to 210,000.

Pahuja Loses Race

Deuces go down
Deuces go down
Vinny Pahuja raised from under the gun to 3,800 and action folded all the way around to the button. The player on the button moved all in for 13,100 total and Pahuja made the call.

The player on the button had two overs with the {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} to Pahuja's {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Pahuja lost the race, dropping back to 105,000 chips.
