Reiman Out

Ty Reiman
Ty Reiman

From under the gun, Ty Reiman raised to 26,000. Action then folded over to Jimmie Guinther in the cutoff seat and he reraised to 66,000. Action got back over to Reiman and he moved all in for 311,000. Guinther made the call.

Reiman: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Guinther: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

The board ran out {K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Reiman was out the door. Guinther moved to 1.2 million in chips.

Mercier All In

Action folded to Jason Mercier and he raised to 25,000. Jacob Toole then reraised to 55,000, Mercier moved all in for a total of 325,000 and Toole snap-called.

Mercier: {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Toole: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Mercier was racing for his tournament life and needed to improve. Unfortunately for him, the {A-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop was no help. The {Q-Hearts} gave him some extra outs, but it was the {J-Diamonds} on the river that gave him a bigger pair and the double. "I'll take it," he said in excitement. Mercier is up to around 700,000.

Binger Moving Chips Around

Michael Binger
Michael Binger

Michael Binger has been among the most active players in the field for the last couple orbits. We just picked up another pot involving him as he opened with a late-position raise to 28,000. A couple seats over, Anh Van Nguyen three-bet him to 63,000, but the action wasn't done yet. Binger proceeded to reraise to 138,000, and Van Nguyen tanked for a while before surrendering to the four-bet.

One Lerner Gone

Derek Lerner lost most of his chips in the aforementioned hand. On the very next hand, Lerner was automatically all in from the small blind and Matt Affleck isolated with a raise.

Affleck: {A-}{7-}
Lerner: {K-}{Q-}

Lerner had a decent hand considering he was all in blind, unfortunately he couldn't make a miraculous comeback as the board blanked and Affleck took down the pot with his ace high.

Lern-ing Some Bad News

In middle position, Matt Affleck opened up a can of worms with a raise. Carlos Watanabe made the call next door, and Tomas Exelhauser called from the small blind too. In the big, Derek Lerner moved all in for another 176,000, sending the decision back to Affleck. He eventually folded, accidentally flashing the {A-Diamonds} in the process, and Watanabe promptly called all in for 173,000. Exelhauser spent a few minutes in the tank before he too called, and the cards were on their backs with both Lerner and Watanabe at risk.

Showdown
Watanabe: {K-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}
Exelhauser: {9-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}
Lerner: {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}

The flop was a good sweat as it came down {10-Spades} {7-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} to leave both all-in players needing to fade the open-ender from Exelhauser. The turn {2-Spades} was safe, and the blank {5-Hearts} river filled out the board to send a big triple up to Watanabe. He's all the way up over 600,000 now, and the side pot gives Lerner just 6,000 lonely chips and a frown to work with.
