Tyler Kenney Eliminated in 3rd Place ($170,000)

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 5,000 ante
Tyler Kenney - 3rd place
Tyler Kenney - 3rd place

Dan Shak opened to 200,000 from the small blind, and Tyler Kenney three-bet shoved his 1.625 million into the middle from the big. Shak made the quick call, and Kenney was at risk as the cards were turned up.

Showdown
Shak: {A-Hearts} {Q-Spades}
Kenney: {A-Spades} {7-Clubs}

The news was not good for the at-risk Kenney as he was dominated and needing to catch a card to stay alive. The {9-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {8-Hearts} flop made things even worse for Kenney as his outs were reduced by one. The turn {10-Clubs} meant that he couldn't even double up now, drawing dead to a chop. He needed to find one of the non-heart queens to stay in contention, but the river was the {4-Hearts}. That completed Shak's flush, plenty good enough to snag the rest of Kenney's chips.

It was a fine run for the lesser-known Kenney brother, and he'll depart with a third-place paycheck worth $170,000.

Kenney Staying Afloat

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 5,000 ante

Dan Shak completed from the small blind, and Tyler Kenney knocked the table for a free flop from the big.

It came {6-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}, and Shak check-called a bet of 100,000. The turn was the {4-Hearts}, and Shak checked again. Kenney checked it back this time, and the {3-Spades} filled out the board. Shak now led out with 100,000 of his own chips, and Kenney raised to 325,000. That folded Shak without incident, and Kenney flashed the {5-Clubs} as he dragged another little chip-up pot.

Both players checked, and the {Q-Diamonds} fell on fourth street. Shak found his chips again now, leading out with 300,000. Selbst At-Risk and in Trouble

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 5,000 ante

Tyler Kenney opened to 200,000 from the button before Selbst three-bet shoved all in for 1.19 million. Kenney quickly called the shove, and he was well in front as the cards were turned on their backs.

Showdown
Kenney: {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}
Selbst: {A-Clubs} {5-Hearts}

Things were hushed in the studio as Selbst's cheering section (that includes a golden lab) shuffled their way to the front to lean in and sweat the flop. Their muted pleas for a five were answered quickly as the dealer ripped off a {Q-Clubs} {9-Spades} {5-Spades} flop to give her the come-from-behind lead with two to come. The turn {6-Spades} and river {3-Clubs} kept her fives in front, and Selbst's double was secure.

She's back to 2.47 million, just moving past Kenney and his 2.29 million.
