Carlos Mortensen kicked off the action with a raise to 3,000 from early position. David Paredes re-raised all in for about 13,000 from middle position and next to act, Bernard Lee four-bet to 31,000. The rest of the table folded and Lee tabled
, having Parades'
in bad shape. The board brought no help to Paredes and ended his tournament.
We just watched two consecutive pots unfold between David Robinson and big stack Jerry Wong. On the first, Robinson opened to 2,600 before Wong three-bet him to 6,500. Robinson flatted, and the two men both checked through the
flop. On the
turn, Robinson took the lead with 7,600 chips of his own, and that coaxed a fold from Wong.
On the next hand, Robinson opened with another raise, and Wong decided to smooth-call this time. Robinson checked the
flop, and Wong bet 4,000. Robinson called, and he called another 8,500 after the
fell on fourth street. On the river, the
drew one last check from Robinson, and Wong reluctantly checked it back.
Robinson turned over the
, good enough to win his second pot in a row and boost his stack up to about 140,000.
A short-stacked player in the hijack went all in for 8,500. On the button, Aaron Overton called and the blinds got out of the way. Overton tabled
and had his opponent's
crushed. The board ran out

and secured the knockout for Overton.
Now leaving the tournament area: Jason Mercier.
His chair is vacant of both he and his chips, and we presume he's been eliminated here on Day 2.
The players are on a 15-minute break.

Andrew "SkillVille" Weisner is up to 155,000 after cracking an opponent's

With a raise to 4,000 in front of him, Eddy Sabat three-bet all in for about 30,000 with
. His opponent made the call with
, and it was off to the races.
The flop came
with two spades, keeping Sabat in front. The turn, however, put him in a big hole as the
left him one card from the exit. He was looking for a spade or a seven, but the
river was the wrong rank and suit.
Sabat's day is done.
Leonard Cortellino raised from the cutoff seat to 4,000. Taylor von Kriegenbergh reraised to 12,500 from the small blind and Cortellino made the call.
The flop came down

and von Kriegenbergh bet 19,500. Cortellino raised all in for 88,600 and von Kriegenbergh called. Both players tabled
, but Cortellino held the
and could back into a flush.
The turn brought the
and gave Cortellino a flush draw, but the
on the river couldn't find the diamond he needed and the two players chopped up the pot.
