Seidel Keeps Chipping Up

Action folded to Brian Seidel in the cutoff, and he raised to 1,600. Both Amy Sroka on the button, and Dennis Backhaus in the big blind called.

The flop came 9♦7♦6♦ and all three players checked to the turn.

After the 8♠ on the turn, Backhaus checked to Seidel who bet out 2,000. Sroka folded, and Backhaus made the call.

The river was the 5♣ and Backhaus check called a bet of 3,000 Seidel.

Seidel tabled Q♠10♥ for a 10 high straight, and Backhaus mucked his hand to give the pot to Seidel.

Alexis Owings limped under the gun, the player in the hijack raised to 3,000, and Aaron Pinson three-bet shoved from the small blind for 15,100, putting himself at risk. Owings made the call and the hijack got out of the way.

Pinson pulled ahead on the A♥4♦7♠ flop, improving to two pair, aces and sevens. The 2♦ turn and 5♥ river offered no help to Owings, who was left with just over six big blinds.

Action was picked up with four players in the hand, with Chein Nguyen all in and at risk.

The flop came 4♥8♠6♣ and Ethan Siemiesz checked from the big blind, as did Chris Dilts in middle position. Warren Michael in the cutoff then bet all in for 29,900. He was called by Siemiesz and Dilts quickly folded.

Nguyen who was all in pre flop, flopped a straight. For the side pot Siemiesz was ahead with his over pair, but Warren could hit a five to make a set, or a seven for a straight to stay in the tournament.

The A♦ on the turn was no help for Michael, but the 7♥ on the river improved him to a straight, to take the side pot. Both Michael and Nguyen had an eight high straight, and they chopped up the main pot.

Under the gun folded and Riebel called, bringing the 2♥2♣6♣ flop. Riebel checked and Kojack bet 4,500.

Riebel announced "fold" and tossed his cards into the muck.

Riebel Turns a Straight to Secure a Knockout

Ronald Hunt limped from under the gun, as did Matthew Riebel in early position. Action then folded to the button who raised to 2,000. After the blinds folded, both Hunt and Riebel made the call.

The flop came K♦J♦8♦ and Hunt and Riebel checked to the button, who bet out 3,100. Hunt folded, and Riebel made the call.

After the Q♥ on the turn, Riebel checked, and the button bet all in for 12,200. Riebel snap called to put him at risk.

Riebel turned a straight and left his opponent needing a diamond to make a flush to stay alive. But after the 9♣ on the river, Riebel's straight was still best, securing the pot and eliminating his opponent.

A player under the gun raised all in 15,500, and when it folded to Taylor Honkofsky in the hijack, he made the call. But when it folded to the big blind Kevin Golshan, he three-bet all in for about 52,000. After sitting in the tank, Honkofsky said " I know you're not doing this light" before folding ace-king suited.
