Sabia Turns A straight to Knockout a Player

Matthew Sabia raised to 6,000 from the cutoff, and was called by a player on the button, the small blind Matthew Sabia, and the big blind Vichien Siprajim.

The flop came 7♥6♠4♠ and it checked to the player on the button, who bet out 20,000. Riebel and Siprajim folded before Sabia raised all in. The player on the button quickly called, putting his tournament at risk.

The button was ahead with his pocket nines, but would have to fade a spade, a three, an eight or a king to stay alive. But when the 8♣ came on the river Sabia improved to a straight, and the 8♥ on the river officially eliminated the player on the button and the pot went to Sabia.

Riebel Hits Trips on the Turn

Action picked up on the turn in a hand between Matthew Riebel on the button and the player in early position.

With over 50,000 in the pot and the board reading K♠5♣2♣5♦, early position checked and Riebel moved all in, putting early position at risk, who had about a half-pot sized bet left. Early position thought for a moment before putting in the call.

The river brought the K♦, with Riebel improving to a full house, fives full of kings to eliminate his opponent.

The board ran out 5♦10♦10♥4♦3♦ and Pinson's two pair, tens and eights, earned him the pot.

With about 20,000 in the pot and the board reading J♠2♠3♥A♥, Goveia check-called a bet of 7,000.

On the Q♠ river, Goveia led out with a bet of 15,000 and after a moment of thought, the button called.

Goveia turned over 10♠5♠ for a flush, and pulled in the pot.

A player in middle position raised all in for 6,500 before Arash Elbaum three-bet to 15,000. Charlie Chen on the button called, when Daniel Isak four-bet to 30,000. Elbaum called the raise, when Chen five-bet all in for 131,000. Isak and Elbaum both folded, leaving Chen heads up with the all-in player.

Chen was poised for a knockout with his pocket aces, and after the board ran out K♦4♠Q♣7♣4♦ the aces were still best, and Chen took in the pot while eliminating his opponent.
