Pepto-Bismol Time

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 200 ante

Daniel Negreanu has been downing Peptol-Bismol all day long. He explained that it was the result of visiting a bad vegan restaurant late last night. Maybe the discomfort is keeping him focused considering he has amassed a stack of more than 200,000.

Battle of the Internet Pros

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 200 ante
Randy Lew
Randy Lew

George Lind III raised to 5,100 from middle position only to have Randy "nanonoko" Lew move all in from the button for 40,000. The blinds folded and Lind made the call.

Lind: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Lew: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Lew was in bad shape and desperately needed an eight. Unfortunately, the board ran out {3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and he was eliminated late on Day 2. Meanwhile, Lind is up to 150,000.

Ramdin Slides a Bit

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 200 ante

There was about 40,000 in the pot when we walked up to see Victor Ramdin bet 30,000 as the board read {7-Spades} {K-Spades} {10-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}. Rep Porter was deep in the tank, considering a decision for a solid half his remaining stack. After some time, he flicked the calling chips into the middle.

"Nice call," Ramdin said, sliding his cards into the muck. Porter slid his back to the dealer as the pot was pushed, but winning cards must be shown here at The Bike. The dealer flipped over {2-Spades} {2-Diamonds}, and Porter's nice call has earned him a nice pot at Ramdin's expense.

Ramdin - 495,000
Porter - 135,000

Blum Goes the Dynamite

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 200 ante
Josh Prager
Josh Prager

Josh Prager led out with a bet of 5,000 on a flop of {K-Spades} {3-Spades} {7-Spades}, and Eddie Blumenthal raised to 14,000. Prager flicked in the call, and the {2-Clubs} landed on fourth street. First to act, Prager knocked the table, and Blumenthal fired another 22,000 at the pot. Prager mumbled something about folding, but he eventually settled on a check-raise to 60,000 straight. Blumenthal responded by moving all in for 85,600, and Prager made the call with {K-Hearts} {2-Diamonds}. He was drawing slim as Blumenthal tabled {3-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}, and the river {A-Hearts} locked up the pot.

Blumenthal has thusly climbed up close to 200,000, while Prager is in a bit of a free fall, down now around 100,000 himself.

Hachem Shows One

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 200 ante

Joe Hachem has a nemesis on his immediate right, and the two men tangled recently in a battle of the blinds. There was 11,500 in the pot when we walked up to see the small blind check the {10-Clubs} {8-Spades} {K-Clubs} flop. Hachem bet 8,500, and his opponent clicked it back to 17,000 only to see Hachem move all in over the top. The small blind had about 40,000 chips left, and he spent a long few minutes in the tank.

"If you wanna fold and you're curious what I have," Hachem said at one point, "I'll let you pick one card."

After another couple minutes, his opponent folded, and Hachem flashed the {K-Spades} on command. "Was it a good fold?" he asked.

Hachem is right at 100,000 now.

Cheong Eliminated and Kamberis Loses in the Same Hand

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 200 ante
Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

Joseph Cheong shipped his last 40,000 in preflop and was called by Alex Kamberis. Surprisingly, the player in the big blind moved all in over the top for around 100,000. Priced in, Kamberis made the call.

Cheong: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Kamberis: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Big Blind: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}

Cheong was in bad shape and Kamberis was in an even worse spot. The {10-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{3-Spades}{Q-Clubs} board help neither player and the big blind took down the large pot. Meanwhile, Kamberis dropped to 240,000 while Cheong was eliminated from the Big Event.

No Break for Peters

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 200 ante

On the flop of {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades}, David Peters check-raised Cynthia May's bet of 4,000 to 12,100. May tanked several minutes before she made the call.

The turn brought the {Q-Clubs} and Peters bet 15,200. The break was already half over and with just five minutes left in it, May decided to tank some more. She tanked all the way through the break while Peters just sat still. Eventually she gave it up and Peters won the pot.

Ramdin Takes the Chip Lead

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante

Just before the break, Scott Clements was in early position and raised to 4,800 only to have the next player, Seat 1, reraise to 12,500. Action folded to Victor Ramdin on the button and he made the call, as did Clements. The three players then checked the {2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop as the dealer burned and turned the {6-Spades}.

Clements and Seat 1 both checked to Ramdin, who put out a bet of 17,500. Clements made the call and Seat 1 proceeded to check-raise all in for around 70,000! Ramdin quickly called and Clements wisely got out of the way.

Ramdin: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Seat 1: {5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Ramdin had picked off a semi-bluff but could still lose to a four or non-deuce club. Lucky for him, the river was the {8-Hearts} and he took down the sizable pot. He is up to 577,000 and looks to be the chip leader.
