Bellande Gets a Jam Through as Pitavy Makes a Big Fold

"I don't think anyone at this table is at your level," Rob Yong said to Jean-Robert Bellande.

"Height-wise, or weight-wise. I don't think anyone at this table can eat as many hamburgers as me," Bellande replied.

Meanwhile, Emilien Pitavy had opened to 600,000 under the gun and Pieter Aerts three-bet to 1,300,000 on the button. Bellande instantly shoved for 4,350,000 in the big blind with Q♠Q♦.

Pitavy went deep into the tank, taking a few minutes before folding A♣K♥. Aerts also gave up A♦J♠.

"No! Come on, guys," Bellande said.

"How did you get away with that?" Yong added.

The action checked to Bellande on the 5♣10♠8♠ flop, and he jammed for 2,100,000. Bellande's opponents folded and he was able to add some precious chips to his stack.

The two players checked the Q♣3♥5♥ flop to see the 3♠ hit the turn. Ladev checked again and then folded K♣9♣ after Yong bet 500,000.

Yong turned over Q♠J♠ for a pair of queens and said directly to Jean-Robert Bellande, "That's how you play queen-jack", referring to Bellande losing the biggest pot of the tournament earlier with queen-jack.

The flop came A♣A♦7♣ and Yong checked to Aerts, who bet 400,000. Yong called, and the turn came the Q♦.

Yong then led out for 800,000, and Aerts folded.

Rob Yong raised to 600,000 in the hijack and Emilien Pitavy called in the big blind.

The flop came K♦K♠9♦ and Yong bet 600,000. Pitavy gave it some thought, but eventually folded Q♥J♥. Yong showed him K♣J♠ for trips as he took the pot.

Jean-Robert Bellande then moved all in for 1,550,000 on the button as action went on Thomas Eychenne in the big blind. He burned through multiple time banks and tanked for a minute before calling.

"I waited four orbits to run into the eight-ten," Bellande said once the cards were revealed. The flop came K♥J♣4♠, while the J♥ turn gave Eychenne a flush draw and outs to counterfeit Bellande's pair. The river, though, was the 6♦ and Bellande held on to double up.
