Poker's Elite Gather for the Start of the Onyx High Roller Series $100,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller Championship at Noon
The opulent Merit Royal Diamond Hotel & Spa in Northern Cyprus plays host to some of the game’s biggest names when the $100,000 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller Championship kicks off the 2026 Onyx High Roller Series at noon local time.
High rollers from around the world will be drawn to this island paradise on the shores of the Mediterranean for the next two weeks. The festival features $29 million in guaranteed prize pools across 15 events. It all begins today with the biggest buy-in tournament of the series.
Players on Day 1 begin with a 1,000,000 starting stack. Blinds are 2,000/5,000 with a 5,000 big blind ante at the start, and the schedule calls for 10 45-minute levels on the first day. Late registration remains open through the first two levels of Day 2, so there is plenty of opportunity for players to hop in and chase the $5 million guaranteed prize pool.
The last time the Onyx Club hosted poker’s elite was back in August, when Jesse Lonis emerged from a field of 88 players to win the $102,000 No-Limit Hold’em Invitational. Phil Ivey, series founder Rob Yong, and Jamil Wakil were also among those who made a run to the final table.
Expect this festival to be just as talent-packed, and it all begins today at noon. PokerNews will be providing live updates throughout the day, so stay tuned for all the action.
