As the cards were being dealt, Mikalai Vaskaboinikau, who was sitting in the big blind, announced the table, "99.9% big blind defence".

Ottomar Ladva raised to 60,000 out of the hijack and Adrian State called from the cutoff. Vaskaboinikau immediately folded when it got to him in the big blind.

Ladva bet 70,000 on the 4♣10♦5♠ flop, which State called.

Ladva fired again on the Q♥ turn, this time for 150,000. Again, State called.

The 9♠ river checked down and Ladva turned over 7♦5♦ for a pair of fives. State tabled J♥10♥ for a pair of tens and he was given the pot.

Martirosian fell behind to the ace-ten of Gutierrez on the A♠K♥8♦ flop. But he locked up his survival in the Main Event when the 7♣ pinged off on the turn to give him a set. The 6♦ river was irrelevant and the tournament remained on the soft bubble.

When it checked to Gutierrez on the 8♥5♠7♥ flop, he bet 70,000 and was met by a check-raise to 200,000 from Hajiyev. Shcherbakov folded, but Gutierrez elected to call.

Both players checked down the A♣ turn and 2♣ river. Hajiyev showed 5♥3♥ for a pair of fives, and lost the pot to Gutierrez's J♣J♠.

After Birizdo checked the 3♣4♣5♥ flop, Ladev jammed for 300,000. State folded, but Birizdo called for around half his stack.

The 10♦ turn was safe for Ladev, but the 5♣ rolled off on the river to complete Birizdo's flush.

The turn came the K♠ and State check-called another bet from Vaskaboinikau, this time for 125,000.

Both players checked the A♥ river and State's K♥10♠ for trips took down the pot.

At the other table Toni Kaukua was seen leaving the table and has been eliminated.

Alexandre Reard raised to 55,000 from the hijack and Ramin Hajiyev three-bet to 150,000 from the cutoff. When it got back to Reard, he put in the call.

Reared checked first on the J♥3♥8♦ flop, and Hajiyev bet 90,000. Reard continued with a call.

When the J♠ dropped on the turn, Reard led out for 135,000. Hajiyev looked back at his cards one more time and then tossed them away, surrendering the pot to Reard.
