Sandvik Doubles With a Flush

Level 17 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Nichan Khorchidian raised from under the gun with Raphael Schreiner calling on the button and Espen Sandvik calling out of the small blind.

Sandvik led out for 158,000 on the Q78 flop, which was called by Khorchidian and Scheriner.

A 5 on the turn prompted Sandvik to jam for 46,000. Khorchidian folded, but Schreiner called, putting Sandvik at risk.

Espen Sandvik: AJ99 All in
Raphael Schreiner: AJ109

Sandvik had turned an ace-high flush and secured more than a double-up after the 3 compelted the board.

Krasimir Yankov limped under the gun and Thomas Eychenne raised to 72,000 in the cutoff. When it got back to Yankov he potted it back to 240,000, and Eychenne called.

Yankov jammed for about 150,000 on the KJK flop and Eychenne quickly called.

Thomas Eychenne: K1076

Eychenne was ahead with trips and improved further to a flush on the Q turn. The 6 river didn't help Yankov as it gave Eychenne a boat, and Yankov headed to the rail in 21st place.

Aren Bezhanyan raised to 35,000 in the hijack and Laszlo Bujtas called on the button. Belarmino De Souza then three-bet to 156,000 in the small blind, and both opponents called.

Action checked to Bezhanyan on the 1065 flop and he bet 500,000. Bujtas folded, but De Souza spread out his remaining time banks in front of him and took a minute before calling.

The turn was the K and Bezhanyan bet another 800,000. De Souza didn't take too long before folding this time.

At another table, Daniel Braude was all in for his last 380,000 from the small blind and up against Thomas Eychenne in the cutoff.

Thomas Eychenne: AA43

Eychenne hit top set on the A23 flop, but Braude flopped a flush to take the lead. The turn was the 7, but the 7 river improved Eychenne to a full house and sent Braude to the rail.

Vyborov Gets Vogelsang to Fold the River

Level 16 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Artur Vyborov raised to 45,000 from the hijack and only Tom Vogelsang called from the big blind.

The players saw the dealer fan out the 10J6 flop, and Vogelsang started with a check. Vyborov bet 40,000 and Vogelsang stuck around with a call.

The 2 turn checked through for the Q to complete the board. Vogelsang checked or the last time, and then folded after Vyborov bet 175,000.

De Souza Puts Amot Into the Blender

Level 16 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Belarmino De Souza
Belarmino De Souza

Belarmino De Souza limped from the hijack and Aren Bezhanyan completed out of the small blind. Mads Amot raised to 72,000 in the big blind, which De Souza and Bezhanyan called.

All three checked the 345 flop to see the J hit the turn. Bezhanyan led out for 225,000 and Amot called. De Souza potted it to 1,134,000, forcing Bezhanyan out.

Amot, with about 350,000 left in his stack, went deep into the tank. After over three minutes of being in the blender, Amot reluctantly tossed his cards away.

A few players pleaded with De Souza to show, but he declined and just dragged in the pot.

Parssinen Can't Finish Kurashev

Level 16 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Dmitry Kurashev moved all in for 265,000 in the small blind and Eelis Parssinen put him at risk in the cutoff.

Dmitry Kurashev: AKQ5 All in
Eelis Parssinen: AA95

Kurashev had run right into Parssinen's aces, but the J102 flop gave him straight and flush draws. "Good flop," he said, and the Q turn improved him to the nut straight. The river was the 10 and he doubled up.

"It's hard to beat double-suited aces. It's harder against him than anyone," tablemate Krasimir Yankov added after the hand.

Khorchidian Can't Look at the Flop

Level 16 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Nino Pansier was all in for 125,000 from the hijack and Thomas Eychenne called in the cutoff. Nichan Khorchidian then reraised to 240,000 on the button, and Eychenne called.

"I don't want to see the flop," Khorchidian said as he turned away from the table before the dealer spread out the AJ4 flop.

"There's an ace on the flop, so you can breathe," Eychenne told him, and Khorchidian turned back around and bet 215,000. Eychenne quickly folded.

Nino Pansier: AQ73 All in
Nichan Khorchidian: AA96

Khorchidian had spiked top set and left Pansier drawing thin going to the 2 turn, which gave Pansier some outs with a straight draw. The 9 river was no help, and Khorchidian scored the knockout.

"I deserve it. I'm good for poker," Khorchidian told his tablemates.
