Kari Somer Eliminated in 9th Place ($20,795)

Kari Somer - 9th Place
Kari Somer - 9th Place

Van Marcus opened with a raise from under the gun to 50,000. Action folded all the way around to Kari Somer in the small blind and he reraised all in for 467,000. After Hakan Dalokay folded in the big blind, Marcus snap-called and tabled the {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}, having Somer covered. Somer had a dejected look on his face as he rolled over the {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}.

The flop came down {8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Marcus stayed in front. The turn brought the {5-Diamonds} and the river the {9-Diamonds}. Marcus' kings held tough and that only meant one thing, Somer would be eliminated. Marcus is now up to just under one million in chips.

From the button, Van Marcus raised to 45,000. Andreas Krause moved all in for 300,000 and the talking began.

"You want to flip?" asked Marcus.

"I want to play for 40 hours," responded Krause. "I don't want to flip."

Marcus then asked Chris Karagulleyan, who was walking around at the time, for a coin. Karagulleyan gave him a cash chip and Marcus said, "That's not a coin, I need heads and tails."

Mathieu Clavet then gave Marcus a coin and he flipped it. It landed on the tails side and Marcus folded.

"I would have called if it were heads," he finished. Marcus dropped to 525,000.

David Benyamine Eliminated in 12th Place ($15,590)

David Benyamine - 12th Place
David Benyamine - 12th Place

Kari Somer put David Benyamine all in from the small blind and Benyamine called without looking. Somer held the {4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Benyamine the {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}.

The flop came down {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and although he flopped two pair, the words, "Oh no, don't do it to me," rang from Benyamine's voice. His worst thoughts were then transfered to the felt in the form of the {3-Clubs} hitting the turn and giving Somer two pair. The river blanked for Benyamine with the {Q-Spades}.

He was eliminated from the event in 12th place and earned $15,590. He walked away with a smile on his face and wished everyone good luck, all while the remaining players and fans gave his a round of applause.
