Klodnicki Chipping Away at Raskin

A couple more hands to report involving Chris Klodnicki, both of which saw the chip leader taking from Micah Raskin's stack.

In the first Klodnicki raised to 12,000 from middle position, and it folded back to Raskin who called from the big blind. Raskin then check-called all three post-flop streets in fairly rapid order — a 12,500 bet by Klodnicki after the {K-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop, a 22,000 bet after the {K-Diamonds} turn, and a bet of 50,000 after the {9-Spades} river.

Klodnicki then showed {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for nines and kings, and Raskin shook his head as he mucked.

In the next there was about 60,000 in the middle by the river with the board showing {7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} when Raskin made a bet of 50,000 and after tanking Klodnicki called. Klodnicki showed {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a pair of sevens, besting Raskin's {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

With those hands Klodnicki has pushed up over 800,000.

Klodnicki Busts Nguyen

Tam Minh Nguyen
Tam Minh Nguyen

Action folded to Chris Klodnicki in the small blind and he raised enough to cover Tam Minh Nguyen's stack. Nguyen immediately called all in for about 60,000 with {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}, racing with Klodnicki's {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}.

The board ran out {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, keeping Klodnicki's pair ahead and eliminating Nguyen in 21st place.

The community cards came {3-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, giving Mascagni a full house and the pot.

Heller Busts Kraut

Alan Kraut - eliminated
Alan Kraut - eliminated

Matthew Burnitz opened to 13,000 from UTG+1 and was called by Ian Searing from the next seat over. Drew Heller called on the button before Alan Kraut went all in for 17,500 from the big blind.

Each player called to see the {K-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} flop where it was checked to Heller. He bet 25,000, successfully isolating the pot. He tabled {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, way ahead of Kraut's {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. The {10-Spades} turn gave Kraut outs to survive, but the {J-Clubs} river ended his night.

Schoultz Keeps Pushing, Collects

Michael Schoultz
Michael Schoultz

Micah Raskin raised to 10,000 from early position and John Chapman called from a seat over. It folded to Michael Schoultz in the cutoff who reraised, Raskin called, and Chapman got out.

The flop came {2-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Raskin checked. Schoultz bet 27,000, then Raskin check-raised to 55,000. Schoultz considered for a bit, then pushed out a reraise himself to 105,000.

"Got a set?" asked Raskin as he thought about what to do. "Aces no good?" he added. Then finally, he let his hand go.

"Show me a bluff and you got me on sick tilt," Raskin continued, but Schoultz pushed his cards downward to the dealer. "If I could I would," said Schoultz. "Either way, good hand," said Raskin.

Pandya Doubles Through Kraut

Action folded to Alan Kraut on the button and he went all in for about 85,000. Ketan Pandya called all in from the small blind for 66,500.

Kraut: {Q-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Pandya: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}

The board ran out {K-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades} to secure the double up for Pandya.

Heller Hangs On

Ian Searing raised to 12,000 from the cutoff seat, then a short-stacked Drew Heller shoved all in from the small blind for 47,500 more. It folded back to Searing who considered for a few moments then made the call.

Heller had the big preflop edge with {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} versus Searing's {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, but the {Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop evened the odds by giving Searing a flush draw. The turn and river were safe for Heller, however, coming {8-Hearts} then {6-Clubs}, and Heller kept his seat.

Klodnicki Sets Up Schoultz

Michael Schoultz raised to 10,000 from early position and Chris Klodnicki defended his blig blind.

The flop came down {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and both checked to see the {7-Clubs} turn. Klodnicki bet 20,000, Schoultz called, and the {9-Spades} hit the river. Klodnicki fired 50,000 this time and after about 45 seconds, Schoultz called.

Klodnicki tabled {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for a set of sevens, besting Schoultz's holdings.

Say It Aint So

Jennifer So
Jennifer So

In a battle of the blinds, Jennifer So found herself all in for about 65,000 with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} against Edward Pham's {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

It was a disaster for So on the flop as it fell {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}, giving Pham top set. The {A-Spades} turn was too little too late for So, as the {4-Clubs} river fell to end her Main Event.

22 players remain.
