After 17 levels of 20 minutes each, Day 1 of the Blowout Series: $530 NLHE [8-Max, The Big Blowout!] has come to an end. In total, 12,095 entries were collected on the first of three days of this event on PokerStars with 2,850 players finding a bag at the end of the day for Day 2 to battle it out for the prize pool which will for sure surpass the $6,047,500 which has already been collected for the prize pool.

Coming back for Day 2 with the chip lead is Germany's "timbalim" with 616,706 which will be worth 343 big blinds when play resumes again. Following them in the counts is a familiar name in the poker world, Andras "probirs" Nemeth. With almost $3.5 million in live tournament cashes according to The Hendon Mob, the Hungarian player will be competing with a Day 2 stack of 568,674. Completing the podium is Russia's "ViktorXO" with 531,261.

But with such a big field, there are still plenty of familiar names left in the field that are willing to battle for their share of the prize pool. Akseli "Timonpoika" Paalanen, Joris "BillLewinsky" Ruijs, Charis "KingGr" Tsaoussis, Sebastian "p0cket00" Sikorski, /"Victor "victorbco" Hugo", Kelly "KelsterMania" Kelner, Mark "MarkBang" Bango, Florian "AAgoodfold" Duta, Jerry "Perrymejsen" Odeen, Stevan "random_chu" Chew, Evan "PURPLE"K"99" Parkes, Ludovic "ludovi333" Geilich, and Rafael "pycadasgalax" Furlanetto all finished in the top 100 of the counts at the end of the day.

Team PokerStars' Results For Day 1

Six players of Team PokerStars were in the running today with mixed results as only half of them made it through. Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis leads the pack with 297,102 in chips while Arlie "Prince Pablo" Shaban has to make do with 82,494 and Ben "Spraggy" Spragg finished the day with 71,565.

Fintan "EasyWithAces" Hand lost his stack with a bluff pretty early on during the day with Spragg missing with his first bullet thanks to Jerry "Perrymejsen" Odeen and Andre "aakkari" Akkari busting to "BraisedBeef".

But it was worse for Ramon "RamonColillas" Colillas who failed to hit today with all four possible bullets. His first went to Apostolos "apostolis20" Bechrakis, his second to "mishu88", his third to Michael "munchenHB" Telker, and his final one to Jonas "Palsgaard1" Palsgaard just before the end of the day.
