34 Players Return at 1 PM to Try and Make The Final Table of the PokerStars Red Dragon Manila Main Event

The PokerStars Red Dragon Manila Main Event will resume at 1 p.m. local time today with Day 3. Out of the 669 entries, a mere 34 players will return to the Coral Lounge at the Okada Manila to fight for their share of the ₱64,244,070 ($1,256,428) prize pool. They are already guaranteed at least ₱308,000 ($6,024) but will all have their sights sets on reaching the final table first and then that amazing trophy which comes with a massive first-place prize of ₱13,815,070 ($270,183).

Starting the day way ahead of the rest is Jehun Hong with 1,910,000 in chips. He is followed by Yufei Hui with 1,140,000 and Piet Pape with 1,015,000 as the only other players to have bagged above 1,000,000. Shiyu Li (973,000), Florencio Campomanes (902,000), Fuk On Wong (895,000), Martin Satuasholm (855,000), Long Meng (855,000), Jiansheng Chen (812,000), and Xiejie Sun (806,000) make up the top ten in the chip counts.

Five different countries are represented by the top ten but there are players from eleven countries left. China has twelve players to do their bidding with the Philippines and South Korea following with six players each. Hong Kong has three players left in the top 34 players followed by Japan with two. Argentina, Australia, Denmark, Germany, and the United States all have one player to try and bring back to the trophy to their country.

When the players return to the tables, Level 21 will be started which features a small blind of 8,000, big blind of 16,000, and a big blind ante of 16,000. A 15-minute break will take place after every two levels and play will continue until the final table of nine players has been reached.
