James Catches Gani Bluffing

Level 10 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Ryan James
Ryan James

On a flop of K♣Q♦2♠, Ryan James bet 19,000 out of the small blind and Muaaz Gani came along on the button to see them head to the 10♥ turn. James now checked before calling a bet of 27,000 and checked the 7♣ on the river.

Gani fired a bet of 75,000 and James splashed out his time bank extension cards. He used only one of them to call and Gani tabled his A♠8♦ for a bluff, while James won the pot with the J♦J♣.

Marko Nortje
Marko Nortje

Xianbin Li raised to 7,000 and Abu Msuya called. Marko Nortje on the button made it 28,000 to go and was called both ways.

On the J♣5♥4♠ flop, Li check-raised from 27,000 to 80,000 to force out Msuya while flop bettor Nortje called.

The 9♦ turn was checked and Li bet the 6♣ river for 100,000 to pick up a snap call.

Li showed the J♥8♥ and Nortje won the pot with the A♣J♠ to say "unlucky Andy" to his opponent.

Li was down to around 80,000 but snatched a double through Nortje when they got it in on the K♣10♥9♦8♣ turn.

Marko Nortje: 10♦8♦

The 9♥ river further improved Li to nines full of kings and he doubled for 63,000.

Level 9 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Raza Tahora was all-in for more than 120,000 preflop and Alvin Pillay took the flip for most of the profit he had made early on Day 2 so far.

Raza Tahora: K♠Q♠ All in
Alvin Pillay: 10♦10♥

The Q♥4♣2♠ flop gave Tahora the lead with a pair of queens and the 8♣ turn changed nothing. Pillay needed one of the remaining tens in the deck but instead, Tahora further improved with the K♦ river.
