Qualifiers Chase the Title and $10,000 on Day 2 of the Eastern Poker Tour $35,000 Championship
The 16 survivors from yesterday’s flight and a host of new qualifiers will be chasing the trophy when Day 2 of the Eastern Poker Tour $35,000 Championship begins at 10 a.m. local time.
Those who made it through Day 1 will be joined by the top eight players from monthly championships held throughout the past year, as well as the winner from each regional leaderboard and wild card spots who will each gather inside the ballroom of the DoubleTree by Hilton in Milford, Massachusetts, to play down to a champion and the $10,000 top prize.
Spencer Dickinson led the 16 survivors who made it through a 250-player field yesterday, while Anthony Burns, Mike Kelly, Rob Keizo, and Richard Rollka are also among those returning to play today. Their chips, however, won’t carry over. Instead, each player will start anew with a fresh 100,000 stack. Players who qualified for Day 2 twice will receive an additional 100,000.
