Michael Bohmerwald
Michael Bohmerwald

Michael Bohmerwald raised to 15,000 in early position and Yousef Zeibaq called on the button. Brian Mahler then moved all in from the small blind and Bohmerwald called, while Zeibaq got out of the way.

Michael Bohmerwald: 1010 All in
Brian Mahler: AQ

Bohmerwald spiked a set on the K102 flop, while Mahler picked up a straight draw. The 4 turn also gave Mahler a flush draw, but Bohmerwald held on through the 7 river to win the pot.

The stacks were counted down, and Mahler had Bohmerwald's remaining 189,000 covered by just one 5,000 chip.

Defending champion Lucas Vergara was eliminated at the same time on another table. According to Anton Makarevich, Vergara shoved the 10-8-8 flop holding 8-7 for trips, while Makarevich had two kings. Vergara was poised for the double up until Makarevich spiked a king on the river to make a full house.

Zeibaq Catching Up to Kennedy

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Yousef Zeibaq raised to 16,000 under the gun and Christopher Kennedy called in the small blind. Roy Kim then moved all in for 180,000 in the big blind, and Zeibaq tanked for a minute before folding. Kennedy quickly gave up his hand.

"I need to see what you had. Tell me later," Zeibaq said to Kim, saying he had two tens.

The next hand, Kennedy opened to 15,000 on the button and both Kim and Zeibaq called in the blinds. "This side of the table is getting a little froggy. I said play nice," Zeibaq said going to the A8Q flop.

Kennedy continued for 15,000, and only Zeibaq called. Both players checked down the 2 turn and 7 river, and Zeibaq took the pot with KQ for a pair of queens.
