Marcel Luske leaps up to 5th in the league with his victory today. With two points or more from the final game he will definitely make the playoffs, and he could clinch a top-four spot with 1st or 2nd place.

Juha Helppi is no longer in control of his own destiny. Nothing less than a win tomorrow will do, and even so he needs the right combination of results in order to make the playoffs. He can no longer qualify for an automatic place in the final.

Vicky Coren moves to 8th place, but a good result from Devilfish this afternoon will push her into the relegation zone. Strong finishes from Duke and Kravchenko will virtually rule out a top-four finish for Coren.

Bottom-placed Phil Hellmuth is hanging on by the thinnest of threads after the points from this heat have been allocated. He needs a win tomorrow and all the results for the four players above him to go his way to scrape into 8th place.
