Roland De Wolfe Eliminated in 2nd Place ($22,000)

Phil Laak limped from the button with the {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}. Roland De Wolfe picked up {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} in the big blind and raised to 260,000. Laak moved all in and De Wolfe quickly called. He was the player at risk in the hand for 1,020,000. Laak had 1,380,000.

The flop came down {6-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Laak moved in front, picking up a set of ducks. Did anyone expect anything different with Laak running so good?

"Someone needs to check security to check these decks. I may have a friend in the back I don't know about," joked Laak.

The turn was the {3-Hearts} to give Laak a full house. De Wolfe still had outs, but none of them hit when the {Q-Hearts} fell on the river. De Wolfe was eliminated in second place and earned 11 points plus $22,000. Laak took home his second win in just two matches, batting a solid two-for-two.
