Phil Laak looked down at the {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and raised to 18,000. Only Giovanni Safina holding the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} made the call.

The flop came down {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{4-Spades} and Laak bet 27,000. Safina called.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and Laak checked. Safina checked behind.,

The river was the {J-Hearts} and both players tripped up. Laak was ahead with his king kicker and fired a hefty 88,000 into the pot of 99,000. Safina took his time and then played it safe by just calling the bet. Laak tabled the best hand and scooped the pot.

Tran Doesn't Bluff At It

Roland De Wolfe raised from early position to 16,000 with the {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Phil Laak called on the button with a better pair having the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}. JC Tran was in the big blind and came along with the {8-Spades}{6-Spades}.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} and action checked to De Wolfe. He fired 26,000 and only Tran called.

The turn and river both went check, check with the {K-Diamonds} falling first followed by the {J-Diamonds}. De Wolfe's hand was good enough to take down the pot as Tran never opted to bluff at it.

Tony G Eliminated in 7th Place ($4,000)

Tony G eliminated
Tony G eliminated
Giovanni Safina has been opening a lot of pots and just opened another with {K-Hearts}{K-Spades} to 14,000. Tony G was next to act and reraised all in for 101,000 holding the {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Tony G was sent to the rail. He brought his bike to the event hoping to send some players away on it, but looks to be the only one who's going to be riding it out of here. He did earn two points and $4,000 for his finish.
