Pollak Can't Fire a Third Street

Level 13 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

The board read {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and there was already over 1.05 million in the pot. Benjamin Pollak led out for 325,000 from the big blind and Andrej Desset called from the button.

The river brought the {4-Spades} and Pollak checked this time. Desset checked behind and Pollak tabled {k-Clubs}, saying "You got it," to Desset. Patiently waiting to see both cards, Pollak turned over the {7-Diamonds} as well and Desset revealed {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and scooped the pot.

Rivest Springs Into the Lead

Level 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

After scoring a couple knockouts, Kevin Rivest has amassed a ton of chips and didn't stop there. Facing a raise of 150,000 from middle position, Rivest called from the big blind and saw a flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}.

Rivest checked to his opponent who continued for 200,000. Rivest check-raised to 510,000 and his opponent laid his hand down. Rivest raked in another pot and has now climbed over 10 million chips, taking over the new chip lead.

Blanco Wins A Big One

Level 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

On an {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop, with around 750,000 in the middle, Lucas Blanco check-called a 225,000 continuation bet.

Blanco check-called again on the {q-Spades} turn, this time for 575,000, before the {8-Spades} came down on the river. Blanco checked a third time, and called a 1,700,000 shove with {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, which was good to ship the huge pot over to him.

Level 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Bryn Kenney started off the day with a re-entry within the first couple levels and has since caught fire. He raised to 135,000 from middle position and was called by the big blind.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and both players checked to the {q-Diamonds} on the turn. The big blind led out for 175,000 and Kenney raised to 540,000. His opponent thought for a moment but then elected to fold, sending another pot Kenney's way.

Tim Chung Takes One Down

Level 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

The PokerNews team arrived at the table, where Tim Chung was proudly pointing to the empty seat next to his. He went on to tell us the following:

"I limped blind on blind with {k-}{2-}, the big blind raised to 150,000 total and I called. The flop came {3-}{4-}{5-}, and went check-check. Turn was an {a-}, where I bet 350,000 and he called. The river came another {a-}, and I put him all-in for about 1,000,000. He snap-called with {q-}{10-}. That's a good hand, right?"

Chidwick Loses Some

Level 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

With about 750,000 already in the middle and the board reading {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades} Stephen Chidwick checked from the big blind to his lone opponent in middle position. He bet 450,000 and Chidwick went into the tank for about half a minute before he called.

The {8-Hearts} fell on the river, Chidwick checked, and his opponent shoved for what looked like about 2,000,000. After brief consideration, Chidwick folded, and the dealer pushed the pot to his opponent.

New Chipleader

Level 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Gustavo Mastelotto opened to 125,000, his opponent three-betted to 375,000, Mastelotto four-betted to 975,000, his opponent five-bet jammed all in for 5,600,000, and Mastelotto called instantly

Mastelotto's {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} was miles out in front of his opponent's {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. It all got a bit sweaty as the dealer spread a {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop, and the {10-Diamonds} turn offering his opponent outs to a gutshot straight. Mastelotto was relieved to see the {2-Spades} river, as he dragged in the biggest pot of the day.

Aces are Good for Mateos

Level 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Adrian Mateos opened with a raise to 125,000 from under the gun, Mustapha Kanit called from middle position, and the big blind also called.

The flop came {6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and action checked to Kanit. He bet 150,000, the big blind called, and Mateos called.

The turn brought the {K-Diamonds} and all three players checked.

The {Q-Hearts} fell on the river and the big blind bet 525,000. After brief consideration, Mateos called. Kanit went into the tank for about 30 seconds before he folded. The big blind tabled {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs} but his hand was second best, as Mateos showed {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}.
