Filatov Builds Stack Further

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Moritz Dietrich remains the chip leader, however Anatoly Filatov is now hot on his heels after yet another clash with Kacper Pyzara.

From the cutoff, the partypoker team pro from Russia made it 12,000 to go and Pyzara three-bet to 26,000, which Filatov called. On the {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop, Filatov checked and called a bet of 40,000 by Pyzara before doing so again for 90,000 on the {7-Hearts} turn. The {J-Diamonds} fell on the river and Filatov's bet of 150,000 forced a fold from Pyzara.

Down to the Last Two Tables

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Ismael Bojang failed to win his last hand against Pierre Neuville and ran out of chips as a result while a big pot was played one table over.

Paul Michaelis was the initial raiser and made it 14,000 to go. Michal Schuh three-bet to 34,500 and Michaelis moved all in with Schuh making the instant call.

Michal Schuh: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Paul Michaelis: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Both players had a straight draw on the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts} flop and Michaelis had a few additional outs in order to improve. However, the {5-Diamonds} turn and {2-Diamonds} river were not among them and Schuh doubled for 234,500.

Liesner Triples; Busts After

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Petr Liesner
Petr Liesner

Sander van Wesemael raised to 12,500 and Jan Mach three-bet to 31,500. Pete Liesner called all in for 23,500 from the cutoff and van Wesemael called. The flop came {Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and van Wesemael checked, then folded to the bet of Mach.

Petr Liesner: {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Jan Mach: {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The {4-Spades} turn and {9-Diamonds} river ensured that the kicker played and Liesner tripled.

Soon after, Matthias de Meulder raised to 14,000 and called the shove of Liesner to put the Czech at risk once more.

Petr Liesner: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Matthias de Meulder: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}

The {7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop was of no help yet, but the {Q-Hearts} turn saw de Meulder in the lead. A blank {6-Hearts} river changed nothing whatsoever and Liesner was eliminated.

Sinclair Takes from Schuh

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Sander van Wesemael raised to 16,000 and Matthias de Meulder three-bet to 45,000. The Dutchman moved all in and de Meulder quickly folded.

Over on the other table, Jack Sinclair and Michal Schuh were involved in a three-bet pot and Sinclair checked the {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{7-Spades} flop. Schuh bet 25,000 on the button and was called before both then checked the {K-Clubs} turn and {6-Spades} river. Sinclair flashed {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for trips aces and that won the pot.

Filatov In the Lead

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

With sheer aggression, Anatoly Filatov bumped his stack up to become the first chip-millionaire of the tournament while long-time chip leader Moritz Dietrich dropped to just over half a million.

Then, Filatov raised to 15,000 and Kacper Pyzara called in the hijack. Sander van Wesemael came along from the button and the three players saw a flop of {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. The action checked to van Wesemael and his bet of 23,000 faced a check-raise to 60,000 by Filatov. Pyzara folded and van Wesemael reraised to 153,000 in total.

That was enough to shut down all further action as Filatov let go, and van Wesemael jumped to half a million chips himself.

Mach No More

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Matthias de Meulder raised to 14,000 and Jan Mach moved all in from one seat over in the cutoff. Once the action was back on de Meulder, he asked for a count and Mach's shove was for 116,000 in total. It took just a few seconds and de Meulder, who glanced at the tournament info screen, called to put Mach at risk.

Jan Mach: {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Matthias de Meulder: {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and Mach's kicker ended up second-best to eliminate the Czech.

Loeser Can't Lose

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Loeser dragged in the pot against Jan-Peter Jachtmann
Loeser dragged in the pot against Jan-Peter Jachtmann

Manig Loeser raised it up to 13,000 from the cutoff, picking up Jan-Peter Jachtmann in the small blind. The two players took an {8-Spades}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop, which they both checked. Both players checked the {5-Clubs} turn as well, before Loeser put in a chunky 45,000 bet on the {a-Clubs} river.

Jachtmann studied for a while, riffling his chips and pulling a few faces, before putting the call over the line. Loeser quickly showed {a-Spades}{k-Spades} which stunned Jachtmann a little. He couldn't beat top pair top kicker, and he pushed his hand face down into the muck while Loeser dragged in the pot.

Jachtmann Takes from Benoit

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Jan-Peter Jachtmann's raise was called by Michal Schuh in the small blind and Benjamin Benoit in the big blind. The flop came {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Schuh checked while Benoit made it 14,000 to go. Jachtmann tossed in the chips for the call and Schuh folded.

After the {A-Spades} turn, Benoit checked and Jachtmann won the pot with a bet of 40,000.

"You are not the crazy guy, he is in seat one," Julian Thomas said to Benoit. jachtmann replied "I learned from him yesterday," while raking in the pot.
