Money Goes To Money as Philipp Zukernik Busts Another

Level 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Philipp Zukernik
Philipp Zukernik

Jorg Muller had got short stacked and tried his luck all in holding {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Current chip leader Philipp Zukernik gave him a spin and had him crushed preflop with his {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}.

The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and that was all she wrote for Muller who wasn’t even left with a bowl of rice.

Tran Loses a Flip

Level 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Patrick Wiper raised to 135,000 from under the gun and the action folded all the way to Do Tran in the small blind. His stack had melted to all but 1.1 million and Tran gave it some thought before moving all in. Wiper asked for a count and called.

Do Tran: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Patrick Wiper: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop left Tran with just one seven or running outs to a full house, but the {6-Spades} turn and {6-Clubs} river failed to improve the German. Wiper, who had qualified online for Day 2 via partypoker, is on track to convert that into a payday of at least €2,000 as less than 130 players remain.

Chinek Survives Sweat to Double

Level 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Nourreddine Chinek min-raised from under the gun and Aleksandar Tomovic three-bet to 475,000. Teunis Kooij moved all in from the button and Chinek called all in for his last 720,000.

Tomovic asked for a count on Kooij's shove and folded when it was deemed to be for 2,835,000.

Nourreddine Chinek: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Teunis Kooij: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The {10-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} flop was a huge sweat for the Belgian, but the {3-Diamonds} turn and {4-Diamonds} river were both blanks.

SUPER HIGH ROLLER: ElkY Finds Aces

Level 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Holz sets ElkY all in
Holz sets ElkY all in

With Leon Tsoukernik absent from the table, that meant his big blind was up for grabs, something that won't have slipped Fedor Holz's mind as he raised under the gun to 3,000. Betrand "ElkY" Grospellier came in for a 3-bet to 7,500 next to act, with action folding back round to Holz, who thought for a moment before making the call.

Holz checked the {7-Spades}{4-Spades}{q-Hearts} flop over to ElkY, who went for a continuation bet of 6,500. Holz gave it some consideration before tossing in two green 25,000-value chips, enough to set ElkY all in. ElkY quickly called for his last 26,000 and whipped over {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}, which had Holz's {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} in bad shape.

The dealer burned and turned the {3-Diamonds}, giving Holz a gutshot draw for an additional four outs, one that he hit on the {5-Spades} river. ElkY sarcastically rolled his eyes into the back of his head, as the table playfully needled Holz's ability to win, no matter what the situation.

Skorepa Busts Pyzara

Level 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Kacper Pyzara
Kacper Pyzara

Kacper Pyzara had just sent Peter Marz to the rail, but he would follow into those footsteps soon after. A big pot had emerged with Pyzara and Matous Skorepa heading to a river of the board {K-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Pyzara got the rest of it in with {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}.

Skorepa quickly called with {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and that was it for Pyzara.

While Skorepa has an impressive stack, two other players on the very same table topple that in Sonay Kehya and Anatoly Filatov.

River Rescues Simon Trumper

Level 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Simon Trumper
Simon Trumper

Simon Trumper was happy to recount and recent hand where he got a nice bit of luck and an even nicer double-up.

Trumper called a raise holding {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and went to the flop of {8-Spades}{9-Spades}{j-}.

Trumper called a 180,000 bet from his opponent and they then saw a {5-} hit the turn. A bet of 260,000 this time was met with a shove for around 1,600,000 from Trumper.

It took quite a while before his opponent called with his {9-}{8-} two pair and Trumper need some help from the deck to avoid elimination.

Help duly arrived in the form of a river {k-} and the better two pair.

The Hungry Hippo Show

Level 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Philipp Gruissem raised and called the shove of Wladimir Gerner for 500,000 with {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}. Gerner had the {K-Spades}{9-Spades} and got there on the river of a board {8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

Right after, Oliver Sosna raised to 120,000 on the button and the player with the nickname Michael Ballack moved all in from the small blind. Martin Kabrhel in the big blind started his usual table chatter, stood up from his chair and said "Sometimes you have to gamble, right? All of it," Kabrhel said.

Sosna asked for a brief count and folded when it was deemed to be just over two million. "I have aces," Kabrhel added and Michael Ballack replied "okay, I have a chance then."

Michael Ballack: {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Martin Kabrhel: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Kabrhel's hippo had more chips to protect.
