Two Fast Hands

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Dietrich Fast
Dietrich Fast

Hand #1:

The board read {3-Hearts}{4-Spades}{A-Spades} and both Dietrich Fast in the under-the-gun position and Jens Lakemeier, in the hijack, checked. The turn brought them the {5-Spades}, Fast now bet 17,000 and Lakemeier called.

The river completed the board with the {J-Clubs}. Fast grabbed all his orange chips which are worth 25,000 each. This was effectively putting Lakemeier all-in. After while Lakemeier decided to call.

Dietrich Fast: {J-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Jens Lakemeier: {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Fast had hit a pair of jacks on the river to beat the turned pair of fives of Lakemeier.

"Rake free re-entry!" the table said to Lakemeier.

Hand #2:

Now Fast was sitting in the small blind when he looked at the stack of Jozsef Liszkovic who was sitting in the big blind.

"How much do you have?" Fast asked Liszkovic.

"About 400,000." Liszkovic replied.

Fast decided to just complete. Now it was Liszkovic' turn to ask Fast how much he had.

"About the same for you?" Liszkovic asked.

"A bit more than you." Fast said.

Liszkovic decided to just check. The flop came {6-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, Fast bet 6,000, Liszkovic raised to 19,000 and Fast three-bet to 52,000. Liszkovic took some time and then just called.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds}, now Fast opened to 85,000 and after a while Liszkovic folded.

Jachtmann versus Marjanovic

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

The board read {4-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Adem Marjanovic had bet 43,000 on which Jan-Peter Jachtmann responded with a shove all-in. Marjanovic took some time to think.

"It's unlimited re-entry!" Jachtmann said.

"Rake free" Jan-Eric Schwippert added.

Marjanovic folded. "I think you have two pair."

Jachtmann said he would show if Marjanovic told him what he had. Marjanovic didn't really reply and Jachtmann showed {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for the flush draw.

Weis Wips Frank Out

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Oliver Weis
Oliver Weis

Christopher Frank put his coat on as we approached the table. He was knocked out of the tournament by Oliver Weis. Weis told us what happened:

"It wasn't really an interesting hand. I was in the small blind and had completed. Christopher (in the big blind) raised to 3 times the big blind (12,000). I re-raised shoved all-in and Christopher called. I had {A-}{K-} and he had {K-}{Q-}. The board was all small cards so yeah..."

Marjanovic Doubles Up Against Frank

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Adem Marjanovic
Adem Marjanovic

The board read {J-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} and Adem Marjanovic had opened to 8,000 from the small blind. Christopher Frank, in the under-the-gun position, raised to 36,000. Marjanovic took some time to think but then decided to shove all-in for the remainder of his chips. He was at risk as Frank had him covered. Frank asked what he said.

"All-in" the dealer explained. Frank snap-called.

Adem Marjanovic: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Christopher Frank: {A-}{Q-}

Marjanovic had a set of sevens which was better than the pair of aces that Frank had and he doubled up. The dealer counted out the rest of Marjanovic' stack which was 107,000 and Frank counted it out so it could be added to his opponent's stack.
