Philipp Zukernik
Philipp Zukernik

David Laka raised to 60,000 from the cutoff with {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}. It folded to Philipp Zukernik in the small blind who moved all in for 1,290,000. Laka called.

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Zukernik was eliminated in 7th place for 68,400 Casino Units (approximately $60,000)

Alexandru Papazian Back to Starting Stack

Level 4 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Alexandru Papazian
Alexandru Papazian

On a {10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{10-Spades} river, Alexandru Papazian was raking in a pot having showed {10-Spades}{9-Spades} for a full house. His opponent in the hand was rubbing his eyes and shaking his head in disbelief. He showed {a-}{3-} for a smaller full house, and was remonstrating with Papazian about what he would have done had a different river card had come.

Dubini Chips Up Without Showdown

Level 4 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Richard Dubini is in a far corner table with barely any access, but one hand that saw the partypoker Sponsored Pro involved just took place to see the Argentinian back above starting stack. On a three-way flop of {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}, Dubini in the big blind checked and so did two opponents including the player on the button.

After the {8-Diamonds} turn, Dubini checked and faced a bet of 30,000 as well as call by the button before check-raising to 135,000. Only the button called before folding the {6-Clubs} river when Dubini made it 160,000 to go.

Gulas Eliminated; Generalov Thriving

Level 4 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Josef Gulas
Josef Gulas

Josef Gulas forfeited most of his stack in a big pot against Aleksei Milica and Konstantin Generalov chipped up on a table that also includes Jack Sinclair and Vladimir Geshkenbein.

On the {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop, Generalov bet 30,000 and Anatoly Filonenko was the only caller. The {Q-Diamonds} turn saw another bet of 80,000 and Filonenko called in the cutoff before the {Q-Clubs} river paired the board for the second time. Generalov slowed down and checked, then called a bet of 125,000 by Filonenko.

Reluctant to show, Filonenko sheepishly turned over his cards while Sinclair added "he's got nothing" with a big grin. Filonenko had {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a busted flush draw and Generalov had that beat with {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}.

High Roller: Andrey Razov Eliminated in 8th Place (57,000 CSU)

Level 4 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Andrey Razov
Andrey Razov

Viktor Ustimov limped under the gun with {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and Leon Tsoukernik also called in the hijack with {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. Andrey Razov held {j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} but did not realise that he was in the big blind, and put out the chips to call a raise. However, this meant that he had committed chips to the pot and it was ruled as a raise.

Viktor then moved all in for just under one million chips. Tsoukernik folded and Razov called all in for his tournament life.

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{j-Spades} and Razov became the first elimination at the High Roller final table. Razov takes home 57,000 Casino Units (approximately $50,000).

The players are going on a short brike. When they return the blinds will be 40,000/80,000 wth a 40,000 ante.

Time for a Family Pot

Level 4 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Alexandru Papazian opened to 20,000 and Josef Gulas three-bet to 50,000 from one seat over. Terrance Green called, as did Zulfia Korgu, and Papazian came along for the ride. The flop of {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades} was checked through and the {Q-Diamonds} turn saw a bet of 75,000 by Green, which just Papazian called.

Action slowed down on the {2-Diamonds} river and Green showed {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} as winning hand. "It was raise, three-bet and call call," Papazian explained and Green joked back with a "that's standard here."

In the meanwhile, Elena Jasuchina has been eliminated as Papazian claims the seat that formerly belonged to her.

Lykov Gone in Two Hands

Level 4 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

In a three-bet pot, Oleg Titov and Maxim Lykov headed to a heads-up flop of {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-} and Titov check-raised all in with {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a big draw. Lykov apparently only had {A-}{K-Clubs} and a queen on the turn was followed by a club on the river to leave Lykov with 100,000.

Those chips were gone soon after with {A-}{K-} as Sergey Terentiev improved with {K-}{10-} and Lykov will have to re-enter.

It Is Hippo Time Again

Level 3 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

"Oh no, that's the worst thing to happen," Jan-Peter Jachtmann said and stood up from his chair while two Brits that railed his table also cried out loudly. The board was all but rushed away while Oksana Abakhova left her seat in disguise with the always-talkative Martin Kabrhel raking in the big pot.

Apparently, Abakhova had five-bet for half of her stack before Kabrhel six-bet all in with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}. He was quickly called by Abakhova with pocket aces and Kabrhel got there thanks to the {Q-Hearts} on the river. "Hippo says it is time," Kabrhel added.

Kabrhel now sits on an above-average stack of 1.9 million while Jachtmann is back to starting stack on the same table.
