Khasan Borokov Scoops River Double Up

Level 17 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

There was an all-in and call at Table 3. Khasan Borokov was all in for his last 500,000 on an {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop. Nikolay Kulemalin had called, and they waited for play to finish at all other tables.

After it had done so the cards were turned over. Borokov showed {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} and Kulemalin {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}.

The turn was the {2-Clubs} but the river was the {a-Hearts}, keeping Borokov's Main Event dream alive and doubling him up over two million chips.

Ace-High on the Money Bubble

Level 17 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

During the partypoker festival at the King's Casino a few weeks ago, Martin Kabrhel joked to Philipp Gruissem "how can you call me with ace-high on the money bubble?" Kabrhel back then had a weak ace and lost to Gruissem's ace-king and that's exactly what type of hand showed up in the first all in and call now.

Igor Abelmasov was at risk with {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} from early position and Vladimir Troyanovskiy in the big blind had {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. There were three black cards on the flop and they chopped it up. Still 163 players left.

Down to 163 Players - Hand for Hand

Level 17 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Aleksandr Girs and Roman Korniyenko have been eliminated and the field was reduced to the last 163 hopefuls. Dealers were instructed to wait after the current hand and the hand-for-hand mode will commence two spots off the money.

Players that used the near bubble to build their stacks include Aleksandr Merzhvinskiy, Maxim Babko, Vladimir Geshkenbein and Ivan Arbatsky, while Pavel Kovalenko scored a fortunate double through Aleksei Istomin.

After a three-bet pot before the flop of {J-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}, Istomin check-raised from 625,000 to 1,325,000 and Kovalenko moved all in for three million to pick up a call by Istomin.

Pavel Kovalenko: {A-Spades}{5-Hearts}
Aleksei Istomin: {J-Spades}{10-Spades}

The {9-Spades} turn cemented the lead of Istomin, however Kovalenko got there via the {4-Spades} river for the nut flush.

Aleksey Militas Hangs On

Level 17 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

With 165 players left, Nikolay Prokhorskiy attempted to make a seat open after taking on Aleksey Militsa. The latter four-bet all in for 2.3 million and Prokhoprskiy called after some consideration.

Aleksey Militsa: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Nikolay Prokhorskiy: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{A-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Militsa doubled with a full house despite some additional sweat on the turn.

Dmitry Gromov Eliminated by Oleg Titov

Level 17 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

As is often the case when the money bubble approaches, both live reporters and railbirds alike will flock to tables which have sudden outbursts of noise.

When we got to Dmitry Gromov's table, he was standing up and flinging {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} across the table having been all in pre-flop against Oleg Titov. Titov held {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and needed to hit.

The board had run out {j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{a-Hearts} with the Ace on the river causing the outburst from both the table and Gromov and he was eliminated.

Feshchenko Triples Up

Level 17 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Daria Feshchenko
Daria Feshchenko

Daria Feshchenko moved all in for her last 960,000 from under the gun and Gary Banks called in the cutoff. Dmitriy Kopyl in the big blind moved all in for more than seven million, having Banks covered, and the Brit folded.

Daria Feshchenko: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}
Dmitriy Kopyl: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop was no threat, however the {J-Spades} turn gave Kopyl a gutshot. Feshchenko was relieved when the {4-Diamonds} river bricked off and essentially tripled up.
